Agree--just get McDonald off DE and Sherwood off MLB. Both way too small/light and they get manhandled.
Gotta say…I like what I’m seeing with these New coaching staff moves on both sides of the ball don’t know how much difference it’ll make in terms of wins but it does feel like it should be a better staff, especially on O
I agree, the defense should be better. Just Glenn calling plays and creating the defense he is intimately familiar with should make a big difference. Then add to that a few good coaches from Pitt and Houston, who were good defensively, and I think we should aim for average defense next year, which would be a massive improvement over last year. And who knows, maybe if we hit on a few signings/picks, perhaps there is a chance to be slightly better than that.
I am optimistic to be honest, and like some of the hires made in the middle ranks of the CS on both sides of the ball. I feel the thrust of the draft and free agency should be circled around the D, with two glaring holes to fill on the offense, a QB to keep the ship afloat and another top WR to supplement Wilson. That should make us a little competitive at least, allowing us to enter 2027 draft with a clear vision of a major upgrade to QB.
Yeah, I agree, there is a chance to be better, if we somehow get a QB. Maybe if say Cousins can somehow deliver Fitzmagic year. Or we trade for McKee or Mills and he somehow does that. I know it's a long shot, but the coaching moves so far have encouraged me to the point where there is a possible small ray of hope, as unlikely as it may be. All while fully realizing we are probably starting the tank in October as usual. lol. But not yet.
