I wish he’d have been our Deshaun Watson; Watson was at least a really good QB who just liked to get a little extra from his masseuse. Zach Wilson was a terrible QB who likes to get a little something extra from old women who used to babysit him.

I remember years ago we had a conspiracy theorist troll that kept saying Darnold would never win a Super Bowl because his last name was stupid.

Christian Hackenberg was a far worse pick because he never set foot on the field but somehow kept that brain-dead piece of shit Maccagnan from drafting QB in 2017.

Only morons think firing Maccagnan was a mistake.

The Jets cannot develop a quarterback, period. Chad Pennington was the closest they ever got. Besides the Sanchez years, which I still believe if Favre had stuck around they'd have won it all, the Jets have typically had their best seasons with veteran QBs. Every time they start from scratch it crashes and burns.

Darnold had the benefit of getting coached by better teams on his way to becoming a solid starter. He wouldn't have gotten to that point had he stayed with this incompetent franchise.

    Different take than most.

After showing improvement in year two coming back from mono Sam lost Richie Anderson and had to learn a third NFL offense with a new coordinator. In this third year after saying he saw ghosts against the Cheatriots there was a ton of noise on this forum calling him a bust and wanting him gone.

I thought he deserved another year with more help but I think my position was held by maybe half of the people here if that.
