Last time I posted was in August 2023... and we're still on the same page. Truly things have died in here.
I just received an email that 2026-2027 STH renewal is coming-up. Ticket price went up $400 (Section 135). I sent my rep a response to tell him no mas. I am done.

its crazy how detached the jets are. people are suffering and money is tight, the product is absolute shit, the stadium is absolute shit and even the secondary market is shit. but here they are raising prices like a bunch of clueless assholes.

I used to be VERY active here 15 years ago. Has it been that long? I'll pat myself on the back by reminding everyone that while MetLife was being built I contacted the designers to ask about what I perceived to be a lack elevators/ escalators. LOL, those were the days. Nearly all of the things we bitched about while MetLife was being built and pitched to us as a modern marvel turned out to be true. Another great myth I recall was their claims of "state of the art lighting that will completely transform the look to either Giants or Jets" Examples were supplied of this actually being the case for a stadium in Germany (Allianz). The used car dealer "bait and switch" we received of course were the green and blue lights you see driving past at night. The list goes on and on... OK, I thought of one more: They used the excuse of the construction causing a parking shortage to establish the prepaid parking passes, along with the color coded price options to park. Let's not forget that "FU" to secondary market ticket buyers and tailgaters, which goes on to this day.

Thanks man. I do post on the main board for the day in day out team stuff. Just not "here" here. This thread was almost its own separate website back in the day. Many of us came to the site just for this discussion. You certainly did. Who could forget your avatar? There were a few who vanished, who I've feared for their health. The "get off my lawn" avatar guy who posted a lot then vanished. Others too. It was a terrific source of information for many of us making PSL decisions. The Gang Green at its finest.

Ahhh...those were the days! When this organization actually gave a hoot about the product they put on the field. I fear that is looooong gone. The entire Johnson clan could give a crap. As long as they are stuffing $ in their pockets they will do as little as possible. They are kind of like the NFL equivalent of a slum lord. Stuff as much cash but invest as little as possible on the actual product.

Wow, digging through this thread brings back MEMORIES!

it was such a good thread. the hopes and then the realizations of what a mess this shithole mausoleum would be. i worry that the jets will never be formidable again, i can only hope woody hires someone to oversee football.

Back then, we didn't have Instagram, Reddit, etc etc, This thread was informative in real time as we shared knowledge and info about the shenanigans of the PSL decisions, and what games the Jets management were playing with us regarding our seat relocations. It felt like an internet "Must" go to each day. Sadly most of our fears and disappointed expectations came true. That was at a time when the team's performance was so much higher than what we've experienced over the past decade.

The entire experience has made me so skeptical of the NFL - not just our team, but the entire process of organizations building up the product on the field to coincide with a stadium deal, causing them to "go for it" while the sales push is on for PSL's. The league itself encourages this by rewarding the owners who successfully rob their fans and the people of their State to get a new NFL palace built by giving them a Super Bowl. Once this occurs the team can co back to mediocrity - or worse, satisfied with the incredible cash flow they've created. We're seeing this play out currently with the Bills. They panicked and fired McDermott to keep that "New stadium buzz" going during the sales push to prove to their fans that a Super Bowl is the only goal. "Bills mafia" will be missing their old stadium soon enough. Actually, what they'll miss more was the ability to happily attend games with friends and family without a financial burden that needed to be financed. By the time Bills fans get to the halfway point of their PSL loan, the team will be back being out of the playoffs each year and the successful run will be over. The payments however will not be.
