This is probably the single most frustrating component of this nightmare we all live in. Anyone with 2 braincells in their head KNOWS what is about to transpire over the 2026 season yet are powerless to do jack shit about it. We have an owner who equates $ with ANY intelligence, let alone football, and it just is.

Yeah, I guess there's a .01% chance Glenn wakes up the day of the draft and we are sitting in the same seat as the Patriots are now but...........wooooooooooooooo...just had to take a "belly laugh" break there. Seriously, I actually laughed at my own last statement. What a joke... Ce la vie

It's not just the games, everyone needs to skip training camp, events, preseason, regular season, everything. Don't watch their stupid hype videos, don't watch anything the NY Jets put out. Don't buy jerseys, unfollow them on socials and just pretend they don't exist. We can continue to get our Jets fix on here but they are dead to me aside from here.

Curious why Al Harris wasn't interviewed

It was reported multiple coaches declined to interview with us, maybe he was one of them.

He’s had 1 DC interview. Maybe the league isn’t as high on him as the armchair QBs are. Wouldn’t be the first, second or millionth time that’s happened.

Edit: and on this note, Leonhard has only had two… passed up by one team already. That’s as many interviews as three of the other guys we talked to. Could be because he’s still in the playoffs but who knows. Again. maybe the internet doesn’t always have the best pulse on things.

Wink has a legitimate NFL resume and if he would be hired as DC there is someone in line that can possibly step in from Woodys perspective.

I believe Woody will pull the trigger on Glenn if he starts 0-7 next year.

However if someone with no legitimate NFL DC experience is hired, like Chris Harris, Woody would be hesitant to hand the team to Chris Harris, where he would probably feel comfortable handing team over to Wink.

Glenn has been worse than Gase, Gase was fired after 2 years. Glenn will not be afforded 3 years of 0-7 starts to the season.

If Glenn goes 3-14 next year he will be fired, there is a black cloud over this team with Glenn as their HC and Woody knows it. Woodrow is dumb but not that dumb.

The hell you say, Woody IS that dumb and, to be quite frank, I'm surprised he can lace two coherent sentences together. So, when it comes to intelligence level, I tend to not place W. Johnson anywhere in the top 8."whatever" Billion on the planet

Don’t know about this specifically with DC candidates…but I’d venture to say that the “internet” consensus has OFTEN been WAY better than what the Jets have done…I say this with respect to HC and GM candidates and draft picks…in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the collective consciousness of the internet Jets fans wasn’t smarter than what the Jets have been doing more often than not…

Glenn will not survive another 3-14 season.

That still doesn’t explain why he’s had one other interview and didn’t get the job, barring any interviews that weren’t reported but every team has reported their interviews so far.

Just curious, has Chris Harris had an interview with any other team?

He wouldn't last long enough to see the end of a season like that.

Why would teams want to pick coaches off this staff?

Zero interceptions for a entire season. 4 or 5 turnovers for the entire season?

I can't imagine teams are salivating to bring such talented coaches to their team.

I can't believe it's taking this long. Could it be true what some fans were saying that coaches don't want to come to work for Coach A.G.? If Harris is brought back as the 'permanent' DC to me that's how it would look.

After a historically bad defensive season they're going to basically bring back the same staff?

    Nah.

The pressure on Woody to get rid of him will be too great. There would be too much noise for him to ignore.

Especially if somehow Coach McDermott is still available in 2026. *crosses fingers*
