So I guess the story (that’s been out there for weeks if not longer) that McDermott reportedly went to Beane & Pegula to say he was concerned that the roster was undermanned for a SB run, is false? Also - why was Beane going on radio shows in Buffalo all year defending the fact that he hasn’t gotten a real receiver in two years? I think you’re just defending the move because it’s your team. And that’s silly.
It’s a waste of time to argue with you when you haven’t listened to either the pc or the wr interview.
Why do you keep emphasizing that the entire press conference needs to be watched? The entire point is that Pegula interrupted the GM to throw the coach under the bus for roster decisions. What I asked, had nothing to do with the press conference. And you punted on answering because you’re defensive.
I mean not just franchise QBs, you can create a huge list of first-ballot Hall of Fame QBs who didn't make that list. Peyton Manning, Elway, Marino, Favre, ...
What are the odds that this was _also_ the Patriots curse of 2025? That Allen suffered that injury when the Bills took the lead, because they may have had to play the Patriots and of course the witch doctor curse was going to strike. Unfortunate injury. He really is a competitor and the league is better with him in it. Hope he recovers.
Unless I was a victim of some AI scam, I believe Buffalo is interviewing Phillip Rivers today for the HC job. Last coaching job was at St. Michael's Catholic School ....
I can't think of a better example of arrant stupidity than this. And being a Jets fan, that is saying a lot. What is up with these out-of-left-field hires? At least hire someone who has seen what a NFL coaching operation actually looks like, let alone operated one. So many things need to happen every day, they need to be delegated in the right way to the right people, it's a huge deal. Hiring a head coach with no NFL coaching experience at all is ... I can't even.
Because if you watched the press conference you’d know that question and answer already. It was asked directly. You’re arguing with me without knowing what you’re even talking about. Same with the wr interview you’re referencing. I’m happy to discuss what was said at either if you watched, or even tell you what was said if you didn’t watch. But what you’re doing is telling me that my recap of what was said at the press conference is wrong, despite the fact you wouldn’t actually know because you didn’t listen. Its insanity lol.
The Bills can talk to McDaniel, Rivers and whoever else. From what the WNY media has been saying Klint Kubiak the Seahawks OC is at the top of the Bills list along with Rams DC Chris Shula. The Bills obviously have to wait since these teams play on Sunday. The Bills next HC will most likely come from either the Seahawks or Rams.
Well I’m not watching the whole press conference. So inform me - who had ultimate say over the personnel? Beane or McDermott? If it was McDermott as has been insinuated (and you have insinuated here), why did McDermott reportedly go to Beane & Pegula and say we have a undermanned roster? If it was Beane, why did he keep his job and McDermott got fired? We can do this like a choose your own adventure. My whole point is that it seems as though you’re telling me it’s McDermott. And I’m saying that sounds awfully fishy. I don’t really care if Pegula is in the draft room. A bunch of owners are. Woody always is. It doesn’t mean the know fuck all what’s gone on for the 6 months of scouting meetings previously.
The local Buffalo media reporters who cover the Bills have reported it. We will see how it plays out. But it has been rumored/speculation that the Bills are waiting to talk to coaches from the Rams/Seahawks.
They asked Pegula about the meeting regarding an undermanned roster. He said it never happened and he doesnt know where stuff like this comes from. As for who has ultimate say on roster decisions, that is Beane. However, what we learned is that McDermott will make his voice known about who and what he wants, and Beane often times makes the decision to go his way to give the coach what he's saying he wants (as it should be). Pegula said Coleman wasnt Beane's first choice, that he had other players ranked higher but the coaching staff was insistent on Coleman so Beane gave them what he wanted. Beane later said he liked Coleman and he wouldnt have turned the pick in if he didnt believe in him (this is never reported by the media), that he would never pick a player he thought would fail. My interpretation is that Beane was ok with Coleman but not where we selected him. He clearly had other players ranked higher.
Ok so you are still making my point. You are believing everything the owner is telling you at face value (primarily because I believe you want to believe the organization made a proper decision). I do not believe what the owner is saying at face value. Especially as he’s backed into a corner and getting roasted across the sports universe as well as by his fans for firing McDermott and promoting Beane. They have drafted 2 players to make a Pro Bowl since the 2018 Josh Allen draft (James Cook and Dawson Knox who was an alternate in 2021). Two more including Allen & Tremaine Edwards in the 2018 draft. Wyatt Teller left after one year.
