I’m in this page. If you take Reese you are gambling on pure athleticism. I guarantee he will blow the combine away. You can just see that natural athlete on the field. I just don’t feel he’s a DE. He’s a great player but at DE he just doesn’t got the girth to play that position. For me he’s Shaq Thompson 2.0 and very good Will LB in a 4-3 D or a 3-4 OLB where I feel he could be an all pro player. A team that runs a 3-4 will absolutely love this kid because he can cover TE, tackle on the edge and rush the passer from the outside with his speed. Rex would have loved this kid
Bain accepted invite to Senior Bowl. No reason for him to go but he wants to show it and that is another reason Jets need to consider him.

Bain dominated at the highest level for multiple years. Short arms. Who cares. He looks like Elvis Summerville out there. Guy loves. Football too. It’s an easy choice for me. Will help our run game too
I would not draft a safety at 2, but I think we have to add David Bailey to the list. 14.5 sacks in 380 pass rush snaps is pretty awesome. Lead FBS in sacks. I watched his last game was against Oregon, and I was blown away by his performance, even though I wasn't even watching him, focusing on Dante at the time. But I ended up seeing him in Dante's face all night. For comparison Bain had 9.5 sacks on 557 pass rush snaps. Basically Bain played almost 50% more snaps but Baily is the one who had 50% more sacks. It's not just sacks, but pressure rate is all higher for Bailey, more QB hits, 3 forced fumbles vs 1, 4 more TFLs, etc... Run defense is where Bain has an edge. But Bailey was much improved in run defense this year according to PFF, which gave him very good 81.5 grade. Bain has 86.2 grade. At least according to PFF, the difference is not that massive. The good news is that both of them will be at sr Bowl. If they participate in all activities against same players, we will know a lot more, plus we will have the measurements, which I do feel could make a difference, since they are pretty close as far prospects. Reese kind of has this freakish athleticism where he COULD be as good a run defender as Bain because of his amazing strength, and he COULD be as good or better a pass rusher as Bailey because of freakish athleticism. But the problem is he is a projection. Not an unrealistic one, but projection nevertheless. He is younger too. And @Rockinz , @Jonathan_Vilma and others mentioned that it may not be that easy to convert to full time edge. Many analysis feel that he will, but again we are talking about a projection. Do we want to take a chance at 2 to get a Parsons, who is not a Parsons yet and we have to project that he will develop into one? Tough to say right now, but I am really looking forward to sr Bowl to get some more data on two of the guys. Maybe we can get some of the answers there.
Arm length does matter against uber athletic OL men, and elusive QBs. It's not everything of course and Bain is a really good player no matter where he is drafted, but yeah an inch of arm length could be a difference between a strip sack and a TD conceded. Granted, I don't think it is end all be all, but if two guys are close, physical measurements can pull one guy a little ahead, because it does matter to SOME extend. I watched the same game and was also keying on Moore and to a lesser extent TT's LB Rodriguez. But yeah, Bailey was ALL over the place. He definitely elevated his status that game! I love Bain but I don't think he is gonna be a guy that gets 12-15 sacks/year if that's what we're expecting. More of a "disruptor" like Quinnen was. Lots of TFL's and QB pressures, etc.
