"Titan Up!" and "Believe in the Blue" are already in the lingo there - what can Saleh bring to the table?
being at the Jets seems to be part of many people's redemption cycle - like in a movie where the hero gets beaten down only to rise again like a phoenix
So.. This is good news for, Saleh. Right? The clear path here, as a NYJ fan, is to watch this guy become successful now that he is away from the toxic force that is, the NYJ football team. Can't wait...
Part of me wonders if Saleh was done in by the whole Rodgers fiasco. And I wonder if Saleh truly wanted to deal with that drama. Not defending his coaching but I think that Douglas bears more blame, in retrospect.
Rodgers was all Woody and Douglas. Saleh, I don't think had any meaningful input on this decision. Woody needed the headlines and Douglas needed a big win.
I bet he has a Bowles-like revival there. Being away from the Jets makes anyone better. Add on to that a QB with potential. But he better have the right staff coming with him. A McDaniel OC pairing would be huge for Tennessee. excited to lose to them next season.
I always felt he got a raw deal here in NY. Wishing him well. But then, everybody gets a raw deal here. (Thanks, Woody! Why don't you just die in a fire or something and do all of us a favor?)
I think we're overestimating Bob in his absence. Good DC, less so HC - much like the position we're back in now.
If Saleh didn't like Woody, he didn't do himself any favors hitching his wagon to Titans ownership. That lady is just as bad/clueless as Woodrow.
No one will be held accountable and they'll probably be one of the most penalized teams in the league.
Just answered my own question: https://www.sfchronicle.com/sports/...robert-saleh-second-time-becomes-21304156.php They would only get a pick of he had been back with them 2 seasons.
