As we all know, five QBs were drafted in the first round in the 2018 draft, including two that have been league MVP. None has ever played in a Super Bowl, and Sam is about to be one game away from being the first. Pretty sure no one had that on their bingo card a couple of years ago.
Never thought about first to the Super Bowl but I did feel like Sam would have a nice season with the Vikings. Bet NC Jets fan back around that time that Sam, despite starting a few years earlier would still be playing in the NFL after Zach Wilson was finished. I believed that then and I actually still feel pretty good about my chances to win the bet now.
I certainly take issue with "to be in the Super Bowl." He was in the stadium, but that's as far as it goes. He didn't even take a snap during that entire postseason.
With Bo Nix done for the season might as well say the AFC Championship is being played tomorrow in Foxboro.
The media agreed with him...the "experts" on TV agreed with him.....90% of the people here wanted Zach Wilson even though nobody had heard of him 8 months earlier. I said take Chase or trade the bleeping pick. That kid in the Jets FO in the 2000's said he would get a GM and/or Coach fired. He was dead-right.
Bag on the Jets but Carolina Panthers also had Sam Darnold. And Baker Mayfield. And Christian Mccaffrey.
what I of course meant was The Bills game will the close and the Seahawks will comfortably win.... What a shame for Bo Nix now out for the rest of the playoffs with a broken foot
I just realized that even under my definition of being in the Super Bowl, it's not Sam anyway; it's 2018 undrafted free agent John Wolford.
Going to need to keep an eye on your guy's picks I mean I'd go the other direction but still keep an eye on your picks.
