I just got a text from my Giants fan cousin that the Giants and Harbaugh are about to ink a deal. Sigh. I said back, "I don't know if anyone is a fit here. They alternate to over-watered or underwatered houseplants and croak on the windowsill of Florham Park, NJ.☠️⚰️."

FU Woody! This is what Woody should've done with Vrabel, bring him in and don't let him leave.

Hearing they gave him total control of the staff and roster. Deal almost done. Jets are now playing in Giants Stadium again. Thanks for nothing Woody.

“Don’t let him leave the building” is only feasible if there is something, anything even remotely attractive about the job. Otherwise, as a hiring strategy it gets weird real quick I would imagine.

If anyone is still paying for season tickets they need to rethink it. Cause we're being conned. (edited)

I understand why this is a huge hire and why you put the full court press on but this is the same guy that just got fired after under performing five straight years with an MVP At quarterback and stars all over the defense. And he’s also bringing along the offensive coordinator that ran the offense that got him fired. Obviously I’d rather have him then not have him but all this talk about how the Giants are on their way is a little premature.

Yes, everyone loves money, but a well-thought-of coach knows there will be money regardless.

My friend. During Aaron Rodgers year, you also spent money to buy season tickets. We still have members on this board who are still season ticket holders for multiple reasons. You can have your opinion but please don't insult people by saying their heads need to be examined. :)

I wanted Harbaugh but what you write is on point. He couldn't do much with Lamar and great players in a great organization. It will bring respectability to the Giants but won't make him a Superbowl contender like people suggest imo. Yes in a year or two Giants will make the playoffs regularly but that's it. :)

He probably brought him in showed off his chain and Vrabel said I'm out. Anyway Vrabel prob hates the Jets and was never gonna coach here.

Get the QB and all else works out. Good work by the Giants.

I did and I left at halftime of the Bills game and never went back. I was so excited for the season since it was the first time in 12 years that I was 2 years clean of gambling and I figured I would reward myself but that went to hell for me. And I learned my lesson. I apologize.

He actually did the leave the building :) and went back to home Baltimore on Tisch's private jet as contract details were being negotiated. But yeah, kudos to them for getting it done. He was supposed to interview with the Titans today but obviously that's moot now. The Giants were the first team to have him in their facility. The other interview with the Falcons was remote. Note to Woody for future HC hires: Always get them in the building, Woodpecker.

Actually I think Lamar was one of the biggest reasons Harbaugh stepped down. He's a very polarizing player, not in a bad way. He can kind of exhaust a coach and franchise and it's no knock on him as a person, rather just as a player. It just is what it is. I think Harbaugh wanted a fresh start and especially a new, young promising QB.
