Tomlin, Harbaugh, McCarthy, Stefanski, McDaniel, Kubiak, Kingsbury and probably Flores round out the top coaches in this cycle it seems. That's 8 of the 9 openings, from the interviews there are a lot of other coordinators and such as well that are interviewing for HC jobs like Saleh, Minter, Shula. Pretty sure we could have lured atleast one of those with the 5 1sts and cap space, I would love any of those or frankly a steaming pile of shit over our current coach.
It’s actually a bit unprecedented what’s going on…typically there are like 4-6 openings each year…this year there are 9. And the quality of the available candidates seems to be pretty damn good And of course we just had one of our worst all time seasons and our dipshit stupid imbecile owner is sitting with his thumb up his ass doing nothing
Seriously. The picks we have is exactly how you lure someone you otherwise could not have . Now would be the time
Not going after a coach that can drag this franchise out of the mess it's in now will be as big of a setback as completely whiffing on a QB drafted in the top 5 of the draft. The draft capital that this franchise has right now is the only thing that could potentially make this a desirable job for someone with options. Waiting another year takes that away entirely.
And, the sad thing is, we're very much poised to compound the situation by also reaching for a QB because the of the perception that the coach is on the hot seat.
Spot on. No, we likely would not get Harbaugh or Tomlin, but they would close some other openings. We could also add Joe Brady to the list, where even if we are one of the last dominos to fall, we should be able to get massive upgrade over one of the worst coaches in team's history. Instead not only did Woody not fire Glenn, Charles London and Turner are still our QB coach and Passing Coordinators... Complete incompetence by our poor excuse for an owner.
How many fathers would admit publicly that they have a favorite kid? Well, Mike Tomlin has and is unapologetic when he confirms it even saying his sons know that his daughter is the golden child. She's a sophomore at the University of Georgia and is on the gymnastics team, so I expect to see him nowhere but there between now and April. He has stated a preference for warm weather so I kind of think that even a year from now the swamps of New Jersey are not in the cards for him.
I mean my father did as well. Of course he didn't openly say anything but we are 4 brothers and a sister and my father loved my sister above all of us and it was very apparent. And us boys had no problem with it and when my father died all of us boys signed a waiver for my sister to take my fathers house. Daughters are special for fathers.
