Even harder for me is watching these coaches, they are calling plays, involved in the game and a pivotal part of their teams success. We have Glenn, dancing down the sidelines. He contributes absolutely nothing on game days.
Moore needs to figure out whether an NFL team will still draft him in the first round or maybe even as high as second overall. If that is the case, staying in college would more likely than not cause his stock to fall because his stock is already very high, and it could fall a long way.
I feel like if he's going top 3 and he knows it he would be crazy to pass on a 50mill contract when he could suck or get hurt and get nothing.
I don't know about that. With Rayola transferring it is more likely he declares, but who knows. As far as rising the stock, I don't think there is much higher to rise. He is going #2 if he declares. Whether to us or someone will trade up to get him from us. #3 at worst. Which would be kind of idiotic as we are looking for a QB too, but with lame duck Glenn as a coach it is possible, since Dante needs to sit some in the NFL. But imagine this scenario. Dante gets hurt, and Rayola comes in and plays well. The coach sticks with Rayola. Where would Dante's stock be at that point? To me from the stock perspective, it seems like upside of staying is that he MIGHT go #1 next year, instead of #2, but the downside is massive. Declaring is a no brainer at this point IMO, unless he himself feels he cannot handle it. Even if he goes to the Jets, which has terrible coaching, Is Engstrand that much worse of a coach than their new OC, who I think was a TE coach and passing game coordinator for Will Stein? I know the Jets offensive coaching sucks compared to most other NFL teams, but is it much worse than Oregon offensive coaching next year? Here he would be practicing every day against NFL defense (well hopefully ). And if Glenn actually gets a decent QB coach, which he still might, offensive coaching situation could be definitely as good or better than in Oregon.
Yeah…if you think you are going top 2 or 3, then the only real choice is to declare, as your stock cant get much higher but can certainly get lower if you get hurt or have a down year…there’s a lot of downside with very little to no upside to stay in school if you think you are going to go that high. That being said, Peyton did go back to school and his stock was super high…so anything can happen
You know what I would like to know? He's the "owner" of a multi-billion dollar franchise and he didn't KNOW how unrealistically shitty his team did the last three weeks of the season? Are you fucking kidding me? That's the same as a network admin sitting at home while getting lit up in e-mail his/her network is down and needs repair. You basically have to willfully IGNORE the entire situation, which shouldn't surprise me, but I guess it does. Totally par for the course when you consider who we are talking about here. This fucking guy is as engaged as a transmission with no teeth left in the gearing. Folks, we are in for a non-stop perennial loop of incompetent bullshit which I see no end in sight. Of course, you didn't need me to tell you that.
I'm sure he could use some of that NIL money for a big fat insurance payout for an injury resulting in disability. If he's going to suck, I don't know if he could get insurance on that but he could certainly get Woodless Johnson to pay for it - he certainly has in the past. I'm not sure how that's good for us fans, though.
Devils advocate we probably have the least attractive job of the 9 available so there isn't a ton of options. That said all the bad teams from this year (besides us, top 6 in the draft) will have coaches going into year 2 and probably safe unless they are as bad as Glenn. That and the aging coaches as well that needed a change are gone too. Next year there should be very few teams looking for coaches and if Tomlin sits in the booth for a year (seems likely) and we make him a big offer next year that could be the way to go. If O'Connell stinks in Minny again and O'Connell gets fired that would be even better especially if we punt on QB at 2, trade back and pick up a 27 1st and hire him next year to help draft a QB. This huge coaching cycle could help us that moron Woody is keeping Glenn, we tank this year which we will with Glenn and pick top 5 with some pretty solid potential QB options next year and 4 1st rounders. Just adding some sunshine to my darksider mentality, I miss being the sunshiner I was for so many years till Glenn finally broke me.
With my bosses @Cman7zero permission, I changed the title to something that reflects our current situation. Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh and Kevin Stefanski are all available...but we are sticking with Glenn Yep I wrote this on bold again. Feels like passing on Mahomes and Watson just because we had Hackenberg. New York fucking Jets! House of misery indeed
Watch the Fins get him. NEW (New Nuggets): League sources also have told me, "Mike Tomlin has told people that he would prefer to coach in a warm-weather environment, if it fits." #Steelers https://t.co/oRQvzTo1lF — JosinaAnderson (@JosinaAnderson) January 13, 2026 If that happened it would be McDermott (good coach) in Buffalo, Vrabel (good coach) in New England and Tomlin (good coach) in Miami if he ends up there.
Another guy with a gold star resume that wouldn't even entertain a phone call from our owner that Jets fans can pretend we had a shot to hire if we weren't sticking with Aaron Glenn.
