I'd also like to thank the folks here at TGG. Definitely is entertaining and even though some of us disagree on direction and/or modus operandi we can always find unity in the abject pain it is to be a Jets fan. I wish I could offer solace that this is going to get better but I fear this is going to get 10 times worse long before a whiff of positive creeps it's way into this forsaken franchise. Through it all we have each other. Happy New Year and good luck in 2026 because the Jets are going to need more luck than any 300 businesses combined to register a positive result this decade.

I can't think of a season of Jets football where I've been more despondent, and I've had plenty to compare to. Starting the season there was hope. We had a relatively decent roster following yet another management failure (Rodgers.) There was a big question at QB, however, there was promise in Justin Fields who was able to win 4 of 6 games for the Steelers before coming here. Then it all went to hell. How can you have faith in a CS that managed to have Fields perform worse than he did as a rookie in Chicago, and end up with an undrafted QB that has shown even less ability than Zach Wilson, who was close to the bottom of the pile of discarded Jets QBs. Forget that we have all these high draft choices. Even if we pick the right guys, what is there about this FO and CS that gives hope they can build a competitive team? NONE in my book. Now I'm off to the gym wearing my NY Jets t-shirt.

The hilarity that gets sprinkled in among the shit that masquerades as semi-competent football is what keeps me coming back year after year...

It's just rough being a Jets fan. Been doing this since 1984

I can't thank all the mods and everybody involved in running this place. Also all the posters. I just love coming here especially during the season. It's just great escapism from the pain of being a Jets fan. Also, it's amazing how many people have the exact same masochistic sense of humor. I laugh so hard with some of the posts here sometimes.

I never really took this season seriously. At my age I should not casually blowoff any Jets seasons, and by "blowing off" I mean taking it too seriously. I still watched all of the games, I just didn't part with any cash to attend any of them. I was grateful they weren't a primetime attraction so that the NFL didn't fuck up family time during holidays as there are increasingly prone to do. Once Mougey tore off the Rodgers bandaid, We all kinda knew it'd be a "pass" year to reestablish cap room, etc. Once the trade deadline saw Q and Sauce leave, there was no reason left to live and die with wins and losses. But it has been tough on all of us. The glimmer of hope was how well Fields looked week one. Once they got their asses kicked by Buffalo soon afterwards, it looked to become another dreadful season, which it was. But I'm not whining. We're set up for a quality rebuild. I hope aaron Glenn and his staff are up to the challenge. I'm certainly rooting for him.

One of these days, I'm gonna get down Key West way and see what I can catch out at the Dry Tortugas! Maybe we can have a beer or something!
