No one should ever be drafted based on highlights especially to the Jets lol

Imagine if we take Love after AG convinces the front office to copy Detroit who took Gibbs (especially if we lose Breece)

The Jets have the #2 pick in a draft that maybe has 1 QB. Gotta be honest I don’t think we should draft a qb at 2.

That’s why I would offer a lot. In short I would bet the farm because to be that close to drafting a talent like Mendoza and not being able to get him would be a shame.

I’d be in for Love if we can sucker someone into a trade down. You can’t take Love at 2 though.

I’m just not sure there’s any single player any team wants to move up to 2 to get.

Got it. Remarkable turn around under a good coach.

He's basically a consensus top-10 pick according to most reports. Not to mention that he's exactly the type of instant impact, dynamic skill guy that could really help us right out of the gate.

However with so many needs on defense I think the Jets probably need to address that side of the ball first with a stud. But I wouldn't mind picking Love at all. He addresses both the RB and WR position at a high level. I would be happy with him at 2.

I wouldn’t be unhappy with the pick but I think you can trade down and still get him. A little bit of an injury history too as he was banged up last year quite a bit.

I love Love but no. Just resign Breece Hall.

Taking him at no 2 and letting Breece go is like ditching your wife for some skank on Tinder. It could work out, but probably not, and why

I haven't found one pair of mock drafts that have us taking the same guy at 16. Tells you how void of talent we are almost everywhere other than OL.

Lemon at 16 would be a dream with Moore at 2 (not that I want him, I just know that's what we'll do). Although there are some very intriguing DL prospects there that could be game-changers especially with Briggs breaking out and a new DC that's going to want to get after the QB.

I don't want to go OL, RB or CB at all in the first two rounds. We have players at those positions. Yea the CB room isn't proven but what does adding another unproven commodity do for you? We have glaring needs elsewhere. Address them before anything.

I'm expecting we hit on two of them, but the most likely scenario is probably one out of four.

Peter Woods, Kayden McDonald would be great picks at 16. Again, that's the joy of the team having almost no talent. You can't really go wrong by taking BPA (unless it's OL, RB or CB)

Yeah I agree…I do think we need upgrades at CB for sure, but I think that we have much bigger needs at QB, WR, Edge, DT, and S

If we keep Hall, then I’d rate our needs something like this:

    QB
    WR
    DL
    LB
    S
    CB

I kind of put Edge, DT, and WR pretty much on the same need level as I know we need to improve our DL but I also think we don’t have a legit WR2 yet…Mitchell could be that guy if he could catch, but he’s shown us that his hands are very suspect and can’t be relied upon for anything more than WR3 so far…

I wouldn't re-sign Hall at $10M+ per year which is what he'll get from either the Jets or someone else.

He's an "old" 24 mostly due to being on a horrible team for 4 years and getting beaten down.

I thought his rookie year was the best version of Hall before the injury and before he was a known quantity. You can easily find RB's in the draft to replace Hall and use all that cap space in other areas.

Either take Love at #2 and get a stud cheap for 4 seasons who's also a great receiving threat, OR draft one of many talented RB's in the 2nd or 3rd round. Keeping Hall seems like a luxury, not a necessity. He's completely replaceable.

And that 1 is a strong maybe, only Jets get a high pick, when there is next to nothing, for QBs
