Even harder for me is watching these coaches, they are calling plays, involved in the game and a pivotal part of their teams success. We have Glenn, dancing down the sidelines. He contributes absolutely nothing on game days.
Moore needs to figure out whether an NFL team will still draft him in the first round or maybe even as high as second overall. If that is the case, staying in college would more likely than not cause his stock to fall because his stock is already very high, and it could fall a long way.
I feel like if he's going top 3 and he knows it he would be crazy to pass on a 50mill contract when he could suck or get hurt and get nothing.
I don't know about that. With Rayola transferring it is more likely he declares, but who knows. As far as rising the stock, I don't think there is much higher to rise. He is going #2 if he declares. Whether to us or someone will trade up to get him from us. #3 at worst. Which would be kind of idiotic as we are looking for a QB too, but with lame duck Glenn as a coach it is possible, since Dante needs to sit some in the NFL. But imagine this scenario. Dante gets hurt, and Rayola comes in and plays well. The coach sticks with Rayola. Where would Dante's stock be at that point? To me from the stock perspective, it seems like upside of staying is that he MIGHT go #1 next year, instead of #2, but the downside is massive. Declaring is a no brainer at this point IMO, unless he himself feels he cannot handle it. Even if he goes to the Jets, which has terrible coaching, Is Engstrand that much worse of a coach than their new OC, who I think was a TE coach and passing game coordinator for Will Stein? I know the Jets offensive coaching sucks compared to most other NFL teams, but is it much worse than Oregon offensive coaching next year? Here he would be practicing every day against NFL defense (well hopefully ). And if Glenn actually gets a decent QB coach, which he still might, offensive coaching situation could be definitely as good or better than in Oregon.
Yeah…if you think you are going top 2 or 3, then the only real choice is to declare, as your stock cant get much higher but can certainly get lower if you get hurt or have a down year…there’s a lot of downside with very little to no upside to stay in school if you think you are going to go that high. That being said, Peyton did go back to school and his stock was super high…so anything can happen
You know what I would like to know? He's the "owner" of a multi-billion dollar franchise and he didn't KNOW how unrealistically shitty his team did the last three weeks of the season? Are you fucking kidding me? That's the same as a network admin sitting at home while getting lit up in e-mail his/her network is down and needs repair. You basically have to willfully IGNORE the entire situation, which shouldn't surprise me, but I guess it does. Totally par for the course when you consider who we are talking about here. This fucking guy is as engaged as a transmission with no teeth left in the gearing. Folks, we are in for a non-stop perennial loop of incompetent bullshit which I see no end in sight. Of course, you didn't need me to tell you that.
I'm sure he could use some of that NIL money for a big fat insurance payout for an injury resulting in disability. If he's going to suck, I don't know if he could get insurance on that but he could certainly get Woodless Johnson to pay for it - he certainly has in the past. I'm not sure how that's good for us fans, though.
