Moore’s not ready. He should go back for another year. I’d take Reese at #2 …then see if there’s any way to improve that #16 pick far enough to grab Downs. If not … grab the best available Edge at #16. Maybe take a flyer on Chambliss later in the draft if the opportunity is there.

I heard last night that if Stafford retires LA is the team to watch for Burrow. It makes a lot of sense too because they have 2 firsts this year

Well, LA has arguably one of the top HC in the league and a very good team, the Jets don't have crap at either end. It’s a no brainer. Jets fans need to stop dreaming about Burrows

 

Go Edge at 2. Get Reese(if they have a plan) or Bailey and use this draft this build a team. Surratt in the 2nd would be ideal. Maybe Simpson drops into the 2nd and you pair him with a vet QB and see what you got until 27. It sucks but this is not a time to be reaching for QB at 2

 

They are the same player. Ones just 7 years older. Low ceiling. Might as well just trade for Mac and try that short term.

 

Cmabliss needs a hard look too in round 2

 

Given Moore's collapse, the Colts first rounder may be required to get him.

 

Not sure I love that, especially with his height. I would rather go DE then WR and sign Willis or McKee to be QB this year and possibly next so we can let a QB sit in 27. Get rid of Glenn next year and get a real coach, if Willis or McKee on the off chance turn out to be good we have 3 1s to stack the roster.

 

I agree, I'm not saying the Jets should use the Colts pick on Chambliss, only that Chambliss may not last until Round 2.

 

I would trade the second first round pick and maybe the second rounder to swap with the Raiders and take Mendoza. From what I've seen, he is certainly as good or better than Drake Maye and look what he did with a less than good Patriots team. Maybe he lacks a little mobility, but so does many of the top QB's in the league. With Mendoza at QB you can live without the other two picks and start building around him with your remaining picks.

I actually have no idea who to take at #2 right now. Reese and Bain have had mediocre back half of the season. Moore is out but who knows with Woody… Downs is the best player in the draft but hate using 2 on a safety. Mauigua probably the safest pick but we have 2 good OT. Probably could kick one inside… Tate will be good but it’s a reach… not easy…

I think best case scenario is Moore comes out Moug knows he’s not ready and sells the pick to someone who falls in love with him and we move back while picking up another first in 27’

 

I agree with you. I was not impressed with Bain Jr to take him at 2

 

I really liked some of his highlights but I haven’t watched him in depth and his stats are not impressive. Many draft pundits are either hot or cold on him
