Normally we wouldn't start a thread for a college game but this one is special for Jets fans all around the world. Most like Mendoza but pundits like Mel Kiper and Todd McShay favor Moore over Mendoza. Raiders carry the soul of Al Davis. They might just pick a safety for all we know. Kidding aside, this game will be our last chance to watch both QB's against each other. One of them will continue their CFP journey of course. Personally I am not a fan of either guy. But I am not a college football guy and I trust our resident football experts opinions more. This thread will stay locked until Friday and it will be unlocked the day of the game.
Miami’s best chance was to control the clock and keep Mesidor/Bain fresh. They were gassed when Ohio State went uptempo which is what Ole Miss wants to do. They accomplished that in the first half, dominated the game and only go into halftime up 4. Not a good sign for Miami. They also got away with a huge missed RTP call on Trinidad.
He can play to be sure, hopefully he makes the final, then it will be a fun QB game to watch between him and Mendoza/Moore. But from what I understand he will not declare this year, right?
And just like that I am going to a dinner party at friends house. I said No Saturday and Sunday due to NFL playoffs. Forgot to tell them no Friday night either. Oh well. I will rely on you good people to tell me how Moore and Mendoza did
If it's ok I wanted to post about last night's game here instead of starting a new thread I was most impressed by ... in order Toney (he's a beast and only 18) Chambliss (guy can ball and has a huge heart) Ole miss kicker (worth a late round pick) Lacy is probably worth a second round pick. I wasn't impressed at all with Bain. For those who watched Miami was this his worst performance ??
Beck and Chambliss are both going to be long term NFL QB’s. Not necessarily great ones, bit they’ll be around at least as backups with starting ability. Can’t wait to watch Moore/Mendoza tonight.
before this season Carson Beck was the fancy top pick according to the mock draft experts. No one knew who the hell Fernando Mendoza or Trinidad Chambliss even was. Beck had some ups and downs but lead his team to the national championship and now he's being talked about as a 3rd rounder. Dante Moore should follow that story closely. Don't stay in school and become Carson Beck
That's why I'd be surprised if he goes back to school. It's a lot of money to leave on the table not to mention the potential career trajectory of being the 2nd overall pick versus a later pick if things don't go well in 26'. Top picks get a lot more opportunity to develop and second or third or forth chances as opposed to Day 2 or Day 3 picks.
Draft this ALL TIME JETS LEADER IN POINTS in the second round. Since we know we will suck on offence for years to come. We need 60 yard field goals now
