No way in this universe the Jets get Harbaugh. That would require an owner with vision and an understanding of the game of football. Our owner has neither of those traits unfortunately. Also, I think Harbaugh is actually a sane human being.
Of course, like I said I guess I want Harbaugh to be better than that but I can't pretend I would be. He's gotta know that he can seriously tarnish his legacy by going to the Dolphins that have no QB, no money and poor ownership. He can wipe his tears with his millions I guess. I still think he ends up with the Giants.
Woody will be the thing keeping good quality candidates from signing here. No one wants to work for the biggest dickhead in the NFL. Sent from my SM-S938U1 using Tapatalk

I dunno, Harbaugh in Miami doesn't terrify me all that much. They need a QB and have very little ways to get one. It's at least a two-year process there unless they find a stopgap that lights it up a la Daniel Jones. Obviously I'd much rather NOT have him in the division but in order of shit that annoys me in the AFC East, Harbaugh is a distant third behind Maye and Allen.
I don’t think there’s as many suitors for Harbaugh as his agent said. That was typical agent bloviating stuff to get him more money. Harbaugh might wait it out. It wouldn’t be crazy to see the Bills or Eagles fire their coach if they lose this weekend. All these teams still need to fulfill the Rooney rule too in a way that doesn’t get them sued ala Brian Flores with the Giants.
Problem is we are on the 5 year big ship turnaround so they will have a QB we'll established by then.
I won’t pretend to know anything about Harbaugh’s mindset, but if I’d have to guess, I’d think the Giants make a lot of sense…they are an old school stable organization, they have a promising young QB, they have the 5th overall pick, they have some very good players on the DL, they have some playmakers on O in Nabors and Scatteboo…they just need to fix the OL once and for all, and get some help in the defensive backfield and they can be relevant again. Plus a solid respected stable HC like Harbaugh. Plus the prestige of the Giants is much higher than something like Tennessee or even Miami. I could see Miami just because of the location and the taxes and shit, but from a team standpoint, I’d guess he ends up with the Giants the more frustrating thing to me is that this cycle there are a bunch of great candidates and especially offensive coaches to choose from, and our fucking imbecile owner is going to sit pat with one of the worst coaches we’ve ever had…if you’re even in the fucking conversation alongside names like Kotite and Gase, what does that tell you? Only fucking Woody could be THIS fucking stupid… Go fucking call Stefanski, McCarthy, Harbaugh, Kubiak, Kingsbury, you fucking idiot…I’ll take ANY of those guys over the shitshow we currently have.
Harbaugh landing with the Giants would be one big fucking daily punch in the "Family Jewels." If they were to return to their glory days, while we're languishing in Turds-vile it would basically end many a' Jets fan.
Fire Tanner and make him the OC. He's a mad scientist on that side of the ball. Imagine what Mike McDaniel could do with Breece Hall, Garret Wilson and Mason Taylor to start with. With all those draft picks more weapons could be arriving. *sigh* but the Jets are frickin' dumb.
If he goes to Miami, he's going to fail there, for two reasons. First is he and Tua aren't finishing ahead of the Bills or Pats. And second is he knows that, so if he goes there anyway, he's only doing it for the beachfront house, and he won't put in the necessary effort to win.
Well maybe. But Tua will only be on the roster for 2026 IF they keep him. The Dolphins were accused of intentionally tanking to get him in 2018 (before Burrow exploded) when they stripped the roster down. They were outscored 133-16 in their first three games. I could see them cut Tua, start Ewers, lose 15 games and have the top pick in what should be a really good draft for QBs. They’ll eat the entire dead cap next year, sign no one, trade away some value players for picks and load the roster up. It’s not all doom and gloom in Miami if they play it right.
It's possible that happens, but Allen and Maye would still be in the division, and there are multiple better destinations for Harbaugh if he's serious about winning.
Eh, that changes a lot though. Sean Payton went to a division with Mahomes/Reid and Harbaugh/Herbert and has the top seed. I don’t think coaches with confidence get that scared of that. I think Harbaugh is going to have a harder time in other places than Baltimore. They are one of the best drafting teams in the NFL since their inception. They have a great owner. And most importantly they always attracted good coordinators under Harbaugh. The QB position was stable for all of his 18 years, with good offensive lines. The defense always has good players that stay through their second contracts. He’s going to have a hard time consistently finding good coordinators (which he relies on a lot because he’s a CEO type coach).
My Friday morning rant is coming. Fuck Woody, Fuck the sperm and egg that gave life to Woody Fuck the midwife who brought Woody to life Fuck the day Woody bought the Jets Fuck the day Woody's ancestor became rich and made Woody a trust fund baby. Rant over
