Excited for basically 3 first this year and 3 next year… this should be 6 impact players. Let’s hope Moug and AG eye for talent is their best attributes.
Burrow won’t want to come here that’s a pipe dream… there is no connections to him from our HC/OC/QBC and FO… I think the only starter that might accept a trade is Goff and that’s not the greatest option… If they go with a vet I could see Kyler because he will get released, Tua for the same reason but in addition to stick it to the fins and Goff because of his connections to the HC/OC
Only way it goes to Simpson is if we trade for Mac Jones and Simpson sits for two years. But at that point, idk
Let's get Malik Willis and Huntley in here competing for the job next year. Either will be a nice bridge option heading into the deeper 2027 QB class. Enough with the Dante Moore crap. They'd both start over this guy next season. Gotta get an immediate impact guy with the #2 pick.
Tough part with Willis is if Moore declares all the assumption will be that we are going to take him at 2, even if he doesn't declare all the assumptions will be that we could take one in 27 with all the picks. What I'm getting at is I think he will have a lot of suitors and atleast one of them will be willing to make him the guy putting us out of contention. We are taking Moore at 2 if he declares
Kyler or Tua gets us maybe 6 wins probably 5 our schedule is brutal ... man life as a Jets fan is hard.
I don't mind getting Malik in here, or someone like Tanner McKee, Davis Mills... Really another lottery ticket in a young veteran. Kinda what we did last year, really, but a guy of a different mold than Fields. That guy will start the season. But please understand this is a very low probability lottery ticket still. There is a reason why these guys are available. At the same time though, let's stop with anti Dante Moore crap. We need to maximize our chances to get a long term QB. By consensus accounts Moore is a top 2 prospect. I understand you personally do not like him, but that's you. I personally disagree, but that's me. As a collective I think pretty much everyone views Moore as someone who has a decent chance to succeed and is a worthy 1st round selection. Let's see if this opinion changes after Friday and if he declares even, but so far that's where things stand. So why not maximize our probability of success on the QB by drafting Moore if we can AND getting a veteran like Willis/McKey/Mills? I think that's a smart play that gives us the best chance to end up with longer term QB.
I don't love Moore but him declaring is an advantage to the Jets for obvious reasons. I trust Mougey a lot. If he picks Moore, I will be OK. Say he doesn't like Moore, then he can trade down and score assets. With Moore declaring Jets are in advantage one way or another.
Honestly at that press conference Mooge and Glenn just had, Glenn looked like Mooge's sidekick and not the other way around. I don't know if that's just my perception, but it sure looked like we had a GM that at least knows what he is talking about and a clueless HC who just says "trust me" after being historically bad.
