Agreed. There is zero chance Harbaugh comes to this dysfunctional franchise. He'll end up on the Giants and they'll be great for the next 10 years while the Jets keep failing at everything they ever do. And yeah an absolutely stupid move to fire Harbaugh. The guy has only had 2 losing seasons since 2008! If Lamar was 100% healthy this year, it's another playoff year.
Giants making hard push for Harbaugh. If they get him and the Jets continue to suck, Woody might as well either fold or move the franchise as they will be done in the tri-state. There's barely any reason to support this team at the moment and since Woody believes in his 3-14 CS, there's really no hope for this team as long as Woody stays the course.
Yeah, a franchise QB, multiple DL, WR, RB and another top 5 pick this draft. If they get a good HC, look out.
Good, happy for them, did what a smart organization should do. Harder it is for Woody to swallow the better.
There's always "one" in the building who's ego won't be shut down and it usually ends up in the ruination of the franchise. It's HARD to find the right mix of people. I mean, seriously, WE are living proof. I think Baltimore is in for a very rude awakening. They don't grow good HC's on a tree.
Mehta (remember him?) wrote on twitter that back in 2018 Woody Johnson sent a proxy to Harbaugh's agent to test his interest in leaving Baltimore and coming to the Jets with HC & GM powers. At the time the Jets were still operating with Bowles and McCagnan. Mehta said Harbaugh rebuffed the interest and signed up long term with Baltimore. Mehta believes he'd never come to the Jets. Mehta might be full of shit with some of that story but it was interesting anyway wonder what he's doing these days and if he's got a regular job like us lol
Sounds like the awkward kid sent a note to the pretty girl and when he got the note back, it had FUCK OFF GEEK scrawled across it
He's a great coach but he's up there in age 63? In 3, 4 ,5 years we'd be back on this treadmill. I think the Jets need a younger, veteran head coach someone with experience but also with upside. I think Stefanski would be perfect for the Jets I hope he takes the year off or isn't hired. He's waiting for us in a year but that may be wishful thinking on my part.
I think if he doesn't end up on the Giants he probably waits until either Philly or Buffalo lose this weekend and he goes to one of those teams.
Why would Harbaugh go there? He's 63 and the Dolphins are about to hit the reset button with no other option but to hit the reset button. I'd rather have the Titans job than the Miami job. If he ends up there it's because he got a boatload of money, wants to live in Florida and handpicked his GM
Sounds good to me lol. I mentioned it because the original report had one team with a coach inquiring on Harbaugh, that report was later confirmed as the Dolphins. Now all of a sudden McDaniel is fired...
Oh the reports make sense I was more asking in general. It makes no football sense, makes great financial sense. I'd like to think Harbaugh is above that but I guess at 63 with a ring and a great resume, you can give less of a fuck about football. Giants Titans Falcons All better jobs than the Miami job.
