He is now available. Not sure if he will take the year off or not but I think he will go to Giants while we suffer under Glenn the lame duck. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47531459/john-harbaugh-coach-ravens-sources-say
it'll never happen but it would be amazing if dumbass woody had the wisdom for once to just give an established coach a blank check
This seems to be one of the worst offseasons to be loyal to an HC that doesn’t appear to be on the hot seat. What is it with our timing of coaching hires and high draft picks?
This is the ONE TIME when Woody Johnson should become impulsive and go hard after Harbaugh. Just give the man a blank check. Here's a thought. If he doesn't want to be on the sidelines, why not make HIM our VP of Football Ops and let him lay out a vision for Mougey to follow.
I dunno.. It would be quite the achievement for Harbaugh to rescue a failed franchise. Given a chance to run the show operationally but not have the hassle of being the HC might be appealing to a guy that's pretty much done everything else in the league.
I was really hoping this wouldn’t not happen. Because I already knew I would have to watch some other team scoop him up . Probably the giants too.
A competent organization backs a Brinks truck into his driveway. However, we are not a competent organization, so we will watch Aaron Glenn go 6 and 28 over the next two seasons, instead.
The Giants are pretty stacked and will be even more after this draft. I could see Harbaugh ending up there. Although he'll have no shortage of choices and may want no part of the big city.
Morton apparently was a reason he was fired because he wouldn't fire him. This means a team could potentially get Harbaugh AND Morton!! This would be a fucking dream come true, pain!
Hopefully this spares us from having to watch the Jets make a top 5 worst ever trade for the down slope of Lamar's career.
I follow the Ravens closely and attended some games a year. Harbaugh imo is a questionable coach, not as highly rated as some think due to 1) recent decline over the years despite several big stars 2) post season blues 3) his poor records when leading double digits in 4th quarter 4) kept RB Henry off the field in last 12 mins of the NE game when had a double digit leads 5) used Cooper Rush when Lamar went down and failed miserably in their 5 game losing streak, instead of going to a much better backup in Huntley earlier. Would he makes an impact ? Yes but I don’t he’s a big game coach, that’s just my opinion.
Can you share the link of a big Ravens board or shall I google it? I want to read what Ravens fans think.
Schefter said 7 people called on Harbaugh the minute he was fired, there are only 6 openings beside the Ravens
