I'd also like to thank the folks here at TGG. Definitely is entertaining and even though some of us disagree on direction and/or modus operandi we can always find unity in the abject pain it is to be a Jets fan. I wish I could offer solace that this is going to get better but I fear this is going to get 10 times worse long before a whiff of positive creeps it's way into this forsaken franchise. Through it all we have each other. Happy New Year and good luck in 2026 because the Jets are going to need more luck than any 300 businesses combined to register a positive result this decade.
I can't think of a season of Jets football where I've been more despondent, and I've had plenty to compare to. Starting the season there was hope. We had a relatively decent roster following yet another management failure (Rodgers.) There was a big question at QB, however, there was promise in Justin Fields who was able to win 4 of 6 games for the Steelers before coming here. Then it all went to hell. How can you have faith in a CS that managed to have Fields perform worse than he did as a rookie in Chicago, and end up with an undrafted QB that has shown even less ability than Zach Wilson, who was close to the bottom of the pile of discarded Jets QBs. Forget that we have all these high draft choices. Even if we pick the right guys, what is there about this FO and CS that gives hope they can build a competitive team? NONE in my book. Now I'm off to the gym wearing my NY Jets t-shirt.
The hilarity that gets sprinkled in among the shit that masquerades as semi-competent football is what keeps me coming back year after year...
