It sounds like finding all 22 film with analysis by former NFL QBs or other reputable folks, watching it and then posting it here for others who are interested to also watch is a cardinal sin for some people. You don't want to watch, don't watch. But it is good material. No need to put it down just because it might contradict your predetermined unchangeable no matter what views.

Say what? I provided all the links on the other thread with descriptions who analyzed each one so it is easier to open the one you prefer! Come on now, you don't have a leg to stand on here.

THIS is the most frustrating part of being a Jets fan, because it is so common for us.

Think about it…schedule-wise, we play two of the weaker divisions. Then, for whatever reason, the more recent AFC powerhouse teams in the Chiefs, Ravens and Bills aren’t playing up to their level…the Chiefs are not even a playoff team! Talk about a year that is opening up for a new team to come and grab it, and what do we do? We shit the bed. Big time. Teams like Denver, Jax, LA Chargers, and NE all stepped up to the plate. We hired a terrible coach and are putting up one of our worst seasons ever.

It really makes one question one’s sanity in continuing to support this owner.

The W - L columns bear no asterisks. What you see is what you get.

What no one here has seemed to reference is we have no idea what kind of marching orders was Glenn given when hired. Sure, win games had to be in there but what kind of time frame was he given? What kind of allowance was made before the fact that the Jets did not have a legitimate quarterback? That the common question when Fields was hired was "is that all there is?" Wasn't the departure of Ahmed Gardner (still not Sauce) and Quinnen Williams another signal that nobody's feet were being held to the fire this year? I don't know for a fact that Glenn was hired with a two year window to effect real change but there certainly are plenty of suggestions that there were no quick ultimatums on the table.

No, the Jets are eliminated from contention for the top pick.

The Falcons win week 17 means that the Jets can't win the strength-of-schedule tiebreaker against the other bottom dwellers.

You could even go as far back as them deciding to move on from Rodgers. At that point, we all should've realized that Woody and Glenn were operating on a multi-year timeframe, otherwise Glenn probably would've kept Rodgers because he would've given us the best chance to compete this year.

    Yes agreed

But to me, it’s not really the record or the amount of games we’ve lost…it’s how we’ve looked all year.

This is not a team on the upswing with a coaching staff that looks competent but is losing with inferior talent.

This looks WAY more like a coaching staff that is fucking clueless….AG has not improved ANYTHING other than the kick return game. That’s it. Every other part of the operation looks ass.

If I had been watching a team play hard and smart and just lose by a little, I wouldn’t be feeling the way I’m feeling now, which is AG has to go. But no, I’m watching a team continue to make stupid mistakes, continue to get blown out early in games…and make no mistake, we had a few games early where the final score was closer than the game really was as the other team let up with a big lead, like the Tampa game.

This team has looked piss poor across the board. I blame coaching.

I don’t think a coach that looks THIS bad, setting NFL records for futility, will really ever become a great coach. I just don’t. And I don’t want to waste another year to prove it.

I would expect to be disappointed then because I don't think Glenn is going anywhere this offseason.

I agree that Woody probably does not fire him this year…I think that’s the wrong move but then I always think Woody makes the wrong move so yeah, he’s staying, and yeah, I’ll be pissed and disappointed.

I think we have a pretty unique opportunity with all those picks and the ability to go get a QB in this draft or next with those picks, that I think we could use that to entice a good HC candidate despite the owner being a total imbecile.

But no, we will probably overdraft a QB because AG is already on the hot seat, AG will probably look terrible next year just like he’s looked this year, Woody will finally get pissed off enough to fire him mid-season, and then we’ll be starting over, but we won’t have the 5 first round picks in the next two years so not as great a chance to lure a top candidate.

    Life of a Jets fan…

Yeah this about sums it up. As our ~15 year run of ineptitude has progressed, it's become easier and easier to spot the disasters coming from a mile away. We've all seen this movie too many times. Bad decisions by ownership are one thing, but it's more demoralizing when you know it's going to end in disaster but have to wait another ~year for the owner to realize it. It just feels very avoidable yet we somehow never avoid it.

It's especially wild because we're coming off the heels of firing Saleh a half year too late which caused us to miss out on some strong coaching candidates. Feels like it's happening all over again. Who knows if Kubiak will turn out to be a good HC one day but it's safe to say he's only going to get harder to hire the longer we wait assuming he keeps performing well as OC.
