That bend around the RT in the 4th Q was unreal idk how he even managed to get under him moving that fast. He is a baller. This Draft is going to be interesting and I just hope Moug brings us home some great players the next few drafts.
BPA at #3 (assuming the Giants don’t beat the Cowboys on Sunday). If Giants win...we land at #2, we take Moore or Mendoza (assuming he declares). If we somehow end up with the #1 pick next year, we trade it for a massive haul — because Arch Manning is not coming to the Jets under any circumstances. That fantasy needs to die. So the plan is simple: BPA, hopefully a QB. Then we probably suck again, Glenn gets fired, and in 2027 we flip another top pick to a QB-needy team for yet another bounty.
You said everyone who was calling him a great prospect today was only doing so because of today's performance and that we all thought he was garbage for the last year. You were basically calling us hypocrites. And I responded by stating that I had been calling him the best QB prospect for the entire year.
Dante Moore plays today at 12:00 PM (Oregon vs Texas Tech) Mendoza versus Ty Simpson at 4:00 PM (Indiana vs Alabama) Good games on tap. Will skip the Ole Miss-Georgia game as there is no QB to watch there for me.
Reese was a non factor the last two games for Ohio State. As much as I pumped him up, I’d stay away at this point. Excited to see David Bailey and Romello Height for Texas Tech today.
Then F him. Manning boy is not the 2nd coming. Looked bad at times this year, playing better lately but not good enough to play that kind of nonsense with teams
Really nice throw on the opening series by Moore. Up the seam, in front of the safety, over the linebacker. His arm talent is undeniable. Excited to see if his eyes drop against this rush.
Best plan is to keep losing fire Glenn and grab a QB Moore or Mendoza both excellent picks After the draft is on the real fun begins You need a coaching staff that can develop these players like New England and Denver Have successfully done So how is that happening? Ugh
Moore is undeniably a top QB prospect. He had his warts though. My major concern would be that he doesn't huddle or take snaps from under the center. He needs AT LEAST half a season before he can start in the NFL. That being said, I take him at #3 in a heartbeat. Without hesitation.
I’m not too sure he is.. the quick release is nice but man he couldn’t even beat out Dillon Gabriel and he was awful for the Browns
He did nothing in this game so far to change my opinion about him. At most, an average guy. BUT I am not a QB guru. If our resident experts like him in this game than I hope we draft him.
Maybe, but he has been getting progressively better throughout the season. First full year as a starter. Let's see if he takes the big step next season but, he obviously has the pedigree. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's more than a concern. That's an integral part of playing the most important position on the field. There's only one franchise, surefire stud QB at the top of this draft and he'll be gone by the time we pick at 3. I want NOTHING to do with any QB not named Mendoza in this draft. They're all projects besides him. Moore just made a horribly inaccurate throw to a wide open receiver, case in point. He's not even close. And on the next play, he missed a wide open Kenyon Sadiq for a TD. How he didn't see him is beyond me. It's time for the Jets to focus on a stud impact playmaker on either side of the ball at 3. We could get a huge difference maker there. Project QB's like Moore are a huge red flag. Oh and by the way, Oregon routinely has the top 2-3 best skill talent rosters in the country. They always make their QB's look better than they actually are. See Mariota, Gabriel, and many others for reference.
I don’t really think colleges work like that though. There was no open competition between Gabriel & Moore last year. It was understood that Gabriel was the starter or else he wouldn’t have transferred there. Gabriel also got them a Big Ten championship and a top 4 CFP seed last year. Not a huge Moore guy, but I don’t think your point is a legitimate knock against him.
If I'm drafting a franchise QB at #3, Moore looks suspect AF today. For all the stat guys out there, this is why you need to watch the games. Moore is nowhere close to being a franchise QB yet. He needs another year of college. Very unimpressive today regardless of what his completion pctg or passing yardage total says.
