I bought another 12.... I already have a BOX of unopened jigs. not to mention my full jig bag. I have a disease lol
Wife asked me what I want for Christmas.. I'm so loaded with gear that I said nothing. I'm good on gear and a ton of terminal tackle. She didn't know what to say.
Ha. yeah I hate telling people what to get me... and if I just say "fishing stuff" I get crap I dont want, need or will use. When it comes to jigs.... can't have too many, thanks to the sharks and mackerels with teeth. The reason why I refuse to buy ones not on sale if theyre not "knockoffs"
21F when we left the dock yesterday AM. Perhaps 5 miles (40mins from the dock) fishing local wrecks for blackfish. Found some life early but the bite slowly died. I did manage 1 keeper though so I'll take it. Jigs over Rigs was the ticket. Last trip of the year for me. Pretty good overall for 2025. Cooler full with quite the variety of fish. Everything from Sea Bass to Golden Tiles fileted, vacuum packed and frozen. Looking forward to 4/26 which should be the start of the Blueline Tile fishery up here. Hope you guys are both well and enjoying the holidays. Don't let the Jets ruin it. Cman70
Same to you guys.... I was off to a good start but I didn't fish enough this year due to life circumstances.... hoping to put a sailfish and a wahoo on my lil boat in 2026! My brother's getting quite an assortment of fishing lures from Santa this year, from bottom jigs to tuna trolling plugs
Already working on my '26 fishing schedule. So far, 2 Florida Offshore Trips (Port Canaveral and Pulley Ridge), 3 deep drop offshore trips (Hudson, Wilmington and Baltimore Canyons), 1 Northern trip (Coxes Ledge, RI) and a few inshore meat hunts. Wifey decided for my upcoming BDay and Christmas to treat me to one of these trips. Since the FL trips are already paid for, I'm thinking the Coxes Ledge trip might be the one that's the least painful. That trip is another meat hunt. If I go further north (Gloucester, MA or Seabrook, NH), that will be for Haddock, Pollock, Cod and Cusk. Looking forward to a great '26 season!
hmmm.... what are the specs on that one again? Santa gave me a very nice spinner (that I don't need, so may try and return (if it doesnt involve hurting feelings) but if not I need another rod
