The Gase teams had less talent than our current team, and Gase was a horrible coach. What does it tell you about Glenn that he put together a Gase-like season with a more talented roster?

It tells you that players win games and coaches struggle with shitty players. I don't agree that Gase had less talent anyway

The Gase rosters were all Maccagnan guys, the worst GM in our team's history and one of the worst GMs in league history. Whatever you think of this year's roster, it's basically impossible to argue it's not better than the 2020 team. The fact that we've been just as bad as the 2020 team means Glenn is almost certainly a horrible coach just like Gase was.

We had a horrible OL in 2020 and our leading rusher was the corpse of Frank Gore. Our leading receiver was Jamison Crowder. We had Becton, Van Roten, and Alex Lewis on the OL. Our team leader in sacks was Quinnen with just 7. We had "Blessuan Austin" starting in our secondary. Come on man.

You coulda saved the keystrokes. Gase went 2-14 with Sam Darnold and Joe Flacco. Both those guys are still QBing, in fact Darnold is the starting QB of the team with home field advantage right now!

spoiler alert, I won't be saying that about Brady Cook in 4 or 5 years. He will be selling insurance or something...

He also chose Wilks. Not every hire will be a good hire especially with a noob at HC. At least he didn't rehire Nate Hackett. :)

Perfectly stated…the keep Glenn arguments boil down to Continuity and lack of talent

But lack of talent is heavily on Glenn…didn’t he pick the QB? And he took that bad QB and “coached” him to his worst season…I think he had 4 games under 100 yards passing…like how does that happen in today’s NFL? It’s historically bad. Glenn kicked AR out the door, and I understood the reasoning and I can get behind it honestly, but then he specifically chose a terrible QB and somehow made him worse.

Defense…can’t blame the Sauce and Q trades as we were terrible before those trades and again, Glenn was in on that decision too. Having no picks all year is another NFL record already and we’ll see if we get one in the last game or not. Historically bad.

Our roster agreed is bad. But I don’t think it was 0-7 bad, and I don’t think this coaching staff is maximizing players. That is subjective I agree but we were bad last year under Bob/Jeff and many of the same starters were back and we were worse even before the trades…and that’s comparing to team that got their coach fired last year.

The Continuity argument is the other one, and I just don’t buy into it at all. I think that continuity is the result of talent/quality/winning, not the cause of it. A mediocre or terrible coach will not become great just because he gets more years…will he learn and improve a bit? I would hope so. But when it’s THIS bad, I have a hard time seeing it.

Not sure on the argument above about all losses being the same…sure they all count the same in the standings, but it’s very different had we been losing close games, had we been competitive, etc. We are getting blown out. In the first half. That is clueless territory.

I just haven’t seen any rational defense of Glenn outside of continuity…bad roster is what it is but Glenn had a lot to do with assembling this roster, so can’t use that as an excuse. It’s his roster.

I get the argument, but who should we have gotten? I can't think of a single available qb last off season that would have made the season a success. If anything we would have won a few more games and general public would be even more pissed off.

In a weird way Fields signing did it's intention. It was a lottery ticket where he either was going crash and burn or maybe put it together where he could have lasted longer.

And then the round robin of bull begins all over again only this time they pissed away half of the draft haul picking Glenn's players who immediately become "not my guys" when the new regime inevitably comes in. JSMH how the wheel keeps on a turnin[
