    Quincy is a goner
Sherwood makes a lot of tackles after yards gained...but not an impact player.
I do like Mauigoa, but is he an every down backer?
So where do we go from here? Mid round draft picks or earlier/potential free agents?

Another reason NOT to trade up. The LB room needs to be overhauled completely. QW can go. Sherwood can follow him. If we're lucky, they'll take Wilks along too.

They can start by drafting either CJ Allen or Anthony Hill Jr…..and another guy I like is the Texas Tech kid I think his name is Rodriguez …. He can be had in maybe the fourth round.

Sherwood overruns every play and gets himself blocked out if he doesn’t overrun it. We need two new linebackers next year. He’s fucking dreadful.

I remember you and I having this conversation a couple of years ago when Jets played Pittsburg in a preseason game and Sherwood was getting lit up all game.

It was painfully obvious the change from safety to LB was not going to work.

The trend was to use tweener safety/LB in defensive package. I don’t think he has made a stop behind the LOS since that preseason game.

Sherwood is awful. Even if they can't move on, he needs to get buried in the depth chart. I've said it all year, the Jets have one of the worst LB cores in football and needs a total overhaul.

They said Sherwood was 216 lbs. Moving him to safety would seem wise if he has the speed for it

Sherwood is the special team ace type of player. Totally not worth the contract he got.

Good spot for a free agent signing. Someone who is a winner and can set the tone for the entire defense.

someone like Nakobe Dean, oh look he is a free agent

We could have Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, and other at LB but it doesn't matter when your QB is Tyrod Taylor and Jusitn Fields.

It’s sorta like Moug & Glenn extended a bunch of guys (Sauce, GW, Sherwood) right away in an attempt to stabilize a locker room that knew they were heading into a rebuild.

The locker room post Rodgers and firing Saleh must’ve been a much bigger disaster than any of us realized. We got out from under the bad Sauce extension, offloaded Q who wanted nothing to do with playing here anymore and our shitty consolation prize is the bad Sherwood contract and play.

I’d assume we completely revamp our LB corps in the offseason.

There should be ZERO discussion about moving up in any form. This team needs EVERY pick that it can score. That's a fact.

Agree. I say buy a hold the fort QB and build this team right through the draft. We need two LBs, a no kidding pass rusher and a safety, not to mention CB.But first, get a new DC.

I do like the rookie safety, but he's not perfect. He's a tough tackler.

I know drafting safety high is an open lane to complain, but if Downs is the best player in the draft as advertised I wouldn't be upset about depending on who else is there. They need talent at all layers on the defense.
