I stopped watching cause it was a disgraceful game so maybe he rebounded but I think the WRs letting him down is unfair to them. They’d be 3 or 4 yards in front of him and he’s chucking 90mph fastballs at them. He’s gotta throw with some touch. Again maybe he was too amped up and settled down idk but I thought he did not look NFL level in what I saw
He started throwing some nice passes. Definetly deserves a shot after full practice. Metchie dropped an easy walk in td. Taylor dropped a few.
Can't always tell by a first start in the NFL Terry Bradshaw September 20, 1970 vs Houston Oilers: 4 for 16 70 yards 1 interception 2 sacks 1 safety What would the Jet fans say?? Toss him in the East River with Cement boots. Maybe after as few games we can smell what Brady Cook is Cooking.
He has to start last 4 games of the season. No need to put Fields to Tyrod on the field unless Cook is hurt. Let's see what this kid has in him.
He was throwing lasers in the first half. Those were on him for sure. Second half he settled in nicely. I think there were 4 drops in the second half and one was a walk-in TD on a great play design. I’m intrigued more than hopeful but it’s better than being decidedly out.
We need a QB jersey but with the names of all the third stringers Jets fans have fallen in love with over the years. McElroy, Simms, Falk, Streveler, now Cook. Mike White was the only one who showed something, so I'll cut the White hype some slack.
Mitchell and Metchie are backup caliber players that could probably do something productive off the bench, but we're missing 3 starting caliber receivers, one to injury and the others to non-existence.
I thought Cook showed something. Enough for me to want to see him start the rest of the way. He had some passes were a little off-target and the INTs were rough, but he also showed good accuracy and velocity on a lot of throws. He was let down by some brutal drops as well. Chances are he won't amount to anything, but what do we learn by any of our other quarterbacks playing?
