I f'in hate my life right now. At least the Jets are showing signs of life. But I'm so burned at this point I am worried that this is just a small glimmer of fools gold and the team is going to be mediocre for a year and then fall back to the current status quo. I had gotten to the point of just giving up and ignoring the Jets for the rest of the year. I can't decide if I should step back in or not. Meanwhile the Patsies ...
It's the worst. Former Cheat gets the next Tom Cheat, and Cheatie Bells, Cheatie Bells, Cheat Cheat all the way! How does this even happen?! "Ignore the Jets for the rest of the year", at first I thought you said for the rest of your life. That's probably not a bad idea.
The Patsies have had more Pro Bowl quarterbacks than the Jets in the last 35 years, and that's not counting any of Tom Brady's 14 appearances. I don't see that changing anytime soon with Maye, unfortunately. And regarding the cheating, let me refer you to my response to you earlier in this thread and For the rest of my life? Then how would I have all of you folks to share my misery with?
It sucks and doesn’t look like it’s going to change but I’m willing to let it play out. 3/10 of their wins have come against teams with winning records. One of those teams is the Panthers who yes have been pretty decent but I still wouldn’t classify them as impressive, and another one was the Buccs who have been incredibly banged up and just stopped their free-fall against a bad Cardinals team this week. The Commanders went to the NFC Championship game after a magical turnaround last year with a similar resume only beating 2 winning teams in the regular season. Even when Daniels was healthy this year they were 2-4. The Patriots have some proving themselves to do before I’m ready to anoint them.
Yeah, I don't disagree, but the writing is on the wall somehow. I just know how it feels, and I can feel the chunks rising.
You're not wrong in the grand scheme of things. The Patsies are beating these teams pretty handily, though. And I would argue the Giants are actually a much better team than their record - they played the Lions, Broncos, Bears and Packers close (one score games), and beat the Chargers and Eagles. Maybe the Bengals are decent as well, we'll see. The pats have only one glaring weakness - they can't run the ball for nuts. Defense is up and down but hard to say. Ravens and Bills coming up. That should answer things for them
