I thought when we drafted Breece and then supplemented that selection with Allen as a thunder piece, we’d be set for 5+ years at running back.

I still like Allen as a backup but he runs awfully high and I don’t know that he’ll ever be a lead back. Breece will be gone at the end of the year by his own choice.

Teams find serviceable running backs later in the draft all the time. The Commanders have a solid RB by committee going with a 6th and 7th round draft pick. Anyways starting a scouting thread for the position.

Demond Claiborne, RB, Wake Forest - dude is reallllly hard to tackle and he’s not exactly playing with a roster full of 5 stars. He also catches really well.

Jonah Coleman, RB, Washington - kind of an obvious choice to be a bell cow but I wouldn’t be using a late first or second on a back. If he tumbles, he’s definitely worth the juice because he does everything well and is pretty dynamic.

Kaden Feagin, RB, Illinois - not sure that he’ll come out because he’s only a junior but 6’3”, 250 and athletic as hell.

Le’Veon Moss, RB, A&M - not a very refined back in terms of vision or in between the tackles running but he has the same athletic mold as Breece. Maybe he can be developed?

It makes me sick JV. I might be the lone Breece Hall guy left. I dont want a running back in the draft, I wanna use the guy(s) we have

I think we draft him simply because Woody thinks his name sounds familiar.

Claiborne just looks like he has such an explosive step into the hole. It’s really hard to watch his tape the last two years because they ran the slow mesh. This year they’re running a traditional offense and he has a lot of bounce to his step. Not a bell cow but could be a nice explosive modern day RB.

There’s our bell cow if we want to go that route. 4:10 and beyond he’s just breaking tackles left and right against Michigan, Iowa and Indiana defenders. Really good tackling units traditionally.

I said I refuse to participate in running back scouting but I can't help myself I love the position too much.

Ahmad Hardy at Missouri is amazing... reminds me of a young Frank Gore in that he is not super quick, he just operates so well in traffic and bounces off tacklers

He’s great but he’s only a true sophomore so he’s not draft eligible.

Robert Henry Jr. out of UTSA has serious burst and looks like a good pass catcher. He doesn’t get a lot of opportunities to catch the ball because they throw down field a lot.

Probably not a bell cow but he’s going to be a good rotational 3rd down back with a 5th or 6th round pick for someone.

After shedding the Q and Saucy contracts, I think there's a better chance of extending Breece.

Not really a runningback per se even though that’s what he plays. Reid is so small and has durability/injury concerns but he’d be a nice late round flyer weapon as a KR/PR and 3rd down guy.

He flat out makes guys miss in the open field and outruns them every time he touches the ball. You just gotta keep him on the field.

Your wish may come true. I think we keep him, otherwise he would have been gone a few weeks ago with Sauce and Q.

Absolutely worth it to make sure the rookie QB is coming into a good supporting xats on offense.

This team got it right with that strategy with Sanchez in his first 2 years but failed with every other rookie QB since
