Figure if I say it enough times it might come to pass. How much worse can they look? You are 100% correct. I "really" have to make a conscious effort not to slam Tanner too much considering what he has to work with. I mean, that Fields loss of 3 on 4th down wasn't on Engstrand. It's clear he checked out of the call, whatever it was.
Fields was at least serviceable in Pittsburg This running on first and second down then having a 3 and a mile BS has to stop. Thats playcalling
Fields is hurting the offense in a lot of obvious ways but he's hurting it in a lot of non-obvious ways too, like checking out of a QB sneak in favor of that toss to Breece on 4th and 1. Really, really hard to judge the OC when the QB is sabotaging us left and right, even on non-passing plays.
10-0 deficit. Because they went for it on 4th down on their side of the field. Might still be only 3-0 or 6-0 if not for that call even wit Fields in at QB. No feel for the game. If he wants to 'spark' the offense call for a bomb downfield. May even catch the defense by surprise they'll never expect that from Fields.
Given our recent history and performance this year would it be safe to say that AVT is our best lineman when healthy? We seem to have so much more difficulty rushing the ball without him no matter who is at QB.
We're like 5th in the league in yards per rush this year. Running the ball has been the least of our problems.
DEATHLY afraid! What I don't get is, how much worse could an interception be than 4th and half a yard with a 3yard toss sweep behind the line o' scrimmage?
Glenn goes for it on 4th and 1 in our own territory and then kicks the field goal on 4th and 1 in opposing territory. Glenn has no idea what he's doing. His approach isn't remotely systematic and he doesn't understand the logic behind when to go for it or not. Analytics are useless when your coach wings decisions in the moment. The Lions are 1st in the league in going for it on 4th when they should. We are nearly last. Glenn is not Campbell.
Devastating news. A friend of mine in Ohio (a big buckeyes fan) shared the news. Great guy, always fun and passionate with the fans. Prayers go out to his family and spirit.
