(as I just posted in the NFL thread) - It is painful watching players like Mac Jones doing a decent job for the niners, someone that was signed on a 2 year deal for $4m guaranteed (compared to the $30m the Jets are paying Fields) - and just for fun I saw that Rodgers is getting $13m for the year so he is also getting less that the Jets are paying.

I think that proves one or both of the following: Egstands offense is designed for a pocket passer and/or they’re telling Fields not to run for reasons. Either way it’s just atrocious coaching combined with a terrible personnel move that sets the team back yet another season. I think Wilson is gonna break at some point. I don’t know when, but once he does he’ll go nuclear to get away from this miserable franchise.

If that's the case, then we have a completely incompetent front office. Fields has never been that guy, so to not keep the player you had that fits that type of scheme or to not go out and acquire another QB that fits that type of scheme is just setting the entire season up to be the disaster that it has become.

Fields was playing like that deliberately. This week they asked him a question about taking too long to throw, he reacted very childish. Instead of just acknowledging that he has to get the ball out quick, he criticized the question and the stat “time to throw” and seemed very annoyed by that anyway then he goes into the game and takes a million sacks. He was trying to prove a point
