That’s what I’m saying. The mistake in Oak was Mayock. Whether Gruden was a part of that decision or no, I don’t know. If he was I’m sure he’s learned from that.

I mean he was. Gruden had roster control. He got Reggie McKenzie fired and brought Mayock in to be his butler.

Agreed, the GM decision would need to be smarter. I’d even be open to keeping Mougey. But our current coaching staff is the worst I’ve ever seen. Terrible mental decisions, poor gameplanning, players standing around not playing to the whistle. From top to bottom we don’t have a coach on this team that seems to know what they’re doing.

Someone that understands the modern NFL and what it takes to succeed in the modern NFL. Also, someone that is very intelligent.

If the current level of play continues throughout the whole season, I think he'll be one and done.

At this point, I’d even be ok with bringing in someone like Frank Reich or Doug Pedersen…both former QBs who’ve had some success…both have been fired and were not very good in their last gigs, but those are two guys who are not going to have many options if they are even interested in coaching again, and at least they are offensive guys with experience…I’d trust either of them to develop a QB more than I would AG or another rookie DC. Not saying they are the final answer, but I think either guy would be better than the shit we have now…almost thinking of it like hey just get us to play respectably…which we are not doing now. I’d take McCarthy over either guy but just throwing out ideas as I am just way past dealing with rookie DCs again…

The Jets should hire an experienced offensive-minded head coach, like Adam Gase. Oh wait!

He’d be a splashy hire and Woody likes his headlines.

He’d probably do better than what we’re seeing now but he’d get shit stomped in the AFC right now.

    Thank you.

I swear to fucking all that may or may not be holy. NO ONE with 2 shits is walking through that door unless Woody Johnson resets the coaching salary market by TEN FOLD. You can write that shit fucking down. However, we are nowhere near there.

Yeah, I was on the list that hoped Fields would progress but, as expected, he is not. So, as every person who is a Jet's fan, with their head firmly extracted from their own "star fish," realizes, this roster is T-R-A-S-H!! I really do NOT believe Parcells or anyone else could do a whole lot better than 2 or 3 wins maybe with this pile of shit. That's a god damn fact that anyone with one working eyeball can see on "any given Sunday." Glenn, being a rookie HC gets no wins. If you people thought ANY dude was walking through that door, with no QB, and winning Jack or his good buddy Shit then keep posting delusional dumbassery. Two, THREE years is what it's going to take to POTENTIALLY see a winning record. And that is IF they actually draft a decent QB next year. If, If, If... Fired at the end of the year...bullshit. If Johnson fires Glenn, at the end of THIS year, you may have to go to High School to find a coach DUMB ENOUGH to take on this shit stain mess because anyone worth two shits as a coach knows Glenn has next to nothing to work with so "why" would they come to an organization that sits back and listens to a bunch of fans who don't have a goddamn clue!?! If we people knew HALF as much as we THOUGHT we did guess where we would all be? I know I certainly wouldn't be toiling away making dick in salary. I'd be in the NFL!

I'm also sick of reading about all you numbnuts whining about the removal of Rodgers, Adams...and whom, the fuck, ever!!! They didn't win shit LAST year with those people AND, what I'm assuming everyone seems to think the Saleh/Douglas combination was better than Glenn/Moog! Why in the bats ass hell would you think those two people would amount to a hill of shit THIS year if LAST year blew ass? I just don't get it. You know, I'm all down for thrashing and hashing about what this team NEEDS from a player perspective but, let me tell you, if employers wandered around fucking firing every new person after a few weeks of employment there'd be NOTHING. So spare the constant bullshit diatribe about how "you all" seem to know better than these people who haven't been given a god damn chance. BLOWS me away.

One caveat. Wilks ass is on the table. He IS an experienced (supposedly) D-Coordinator who should have his unit somewhere between this and at least presentable. However, yet again, he too is working with a crap ton of JV talent as well. Glenn is a rooking HC and my GUESS is he went with someone he knows and trusts. We'll see what kind of a head guy he is in how he deals with his coaches as well. But, damn...shut the fuck up people. Jesus Christ, if Jets fans weren't BITCHING all the time they'd have nothing to do. Myself included in that last statement. I think, maybe going forward, I'll just shut myself up and watch the rest of you twist yourselves down the drain. Just crazy insane. I wonder how in the RATS ASS some of you get anything done in your own lives if you all are sooooooo perfect?

....and Jets thought they were smarter than anybody else.

I admit. I was one of the fools who liked what Glenn said during off season. But after 5 games into the season, it is obvious he is not the right guy for the job. I am not that old but old enough not wanting to endure 2-3 years of Glenn's ineptitude.

We can't change Woody and his trust fund baby Brick. But can we at least change the Head Coach after 1 year of disaster?

If you listen to his press conferences he seems delusional. I mean, he says he knows where they are at, yet last week and this week he stated that they had a good week of pratice. God help us, cause if he thinks they are praticing well,,,then lookout.

The OC and DC are just as bad.... what a mess.

There’s a bit more juice in the juice box. Don’t throw it out before you finish the whole thing.

If we get many more effort on defense as we saw against the Cowboys and Dolphins, Glenn needs to be seriously evaluated as a one and done. Until then, let’s give him some more time.

He was voted as the players favorite coach in the entire league, wasn’t he? I doubt he has a hard time
connecting with players. Hopefully the last couple games were anomalies. There wasn’t a lack of effort in the first three in my eyes.

Can we at least to wait until the midpoint to declare the season a disaster?

Jets have never ever gone 0-6. Sunday, we will be 0-6. This is the deep point for this franchise. Not early really

Didn't they go like 0-12 or 13 with Gase?

    0-5

Effectively eliminated from playoff contention in September

This is pretty much a disaster

And the eye test backs it up…this team does not play hard and does not play smart…this team is not improving or learning from it’s mistakes…this team is setting records for ineptitude

If you don’t see this as a disaster then man I’d hate to see what you would call a disaster

This team is not full of talent but this coaching staff is not maximizing the talent we do have…it is not coaching anyone up…this is a bad coaching job no joke

They went 0-13 in 2020 before winning two games in a row near the end of the season.

Things can turn around pretty fast in the NFL...

Penalties and boneheaded plays can be fixed.
However... the lack of effort by certain players is not a good sign. If they're mailing it in by week 5 that's a bad sign.

I think losing Quincy W. was a big blow to the defense... and I'm not seeing any player stepping up to lead on either side of the ball.

Fields looks like he'd rather be somewhere else... he's a net negative.

This team needs a culture enema...
