The red flag for me with Glenn was when he decided to fire Rodgers. To me that was the sign he wasn't interested in competing. He was ok with mediocrity. He was ok with low expectations. He was ok with buying himself time. Would the Jets have a better record at this point with Rodgers here ? Maybe, maybe not. But I 100% believe they would have a better record than what they have now with Rodgers and a different head coach. I wanted someone who wants to win games, wants high expectations, isn't trying to buy time. Glenn is just not that. Glenn looks more and more like Saleh. He was stoic last week. This week running down the sidelines like a cheerleader. Then he was clapping and smiling after the game ended. His post game conference he sounds overwhelmed. I didn't think he was the man for the job when they hired him and after 3 games I am more convinced he is not. I'm tired of beating up on Glenn but I did not want him. More so I'm tired of 15 years of mediocrity and it made zero sense to have another rookie head coach experiment after Saleh.
Fair. Rodgers put together another elite performance today. Barely beating the lowly Patriots that turned the ball over 5 times with a 16/23 for 139 yards, 2TD/1INT performance.
You are missing the point. It's not about Rodgers. It's about the head coach who wants to win and compete vs one that clearly wanted low expectations and to buy time.
no Saleh, shit d. great job woody. and we still cant pick up a yard on the ground when we need one. ol still sux too. jiveass team.
Week 1 and this game were close enough that the Jets aren't actually a bottom couple team in the NFL. Of course they're 0-3, which will ensure they've got no shot at the playoffs, but they've got a few draft position-killing wins in them come the second half of the season.
This coaching staff already needs to be on the hot seat. Even with this weak team they need to be doing better than this. No excuses. Hit the ground running, or don't show up. They don't need to win the Super Bowl this year, or even make playoffs, but they need to improve. This was on the coaching, not the players. You could have the 2007 Patriots offense and the 1985 Bears defense, and the outcome would still be the same with this coaching. Progress by the end of the season or find a new job.
Hence why this team forever sucks, look at all the OL we've taken, and can't get it right, that's 1 fucking unit, how can they put a entire competent team together sad. I anyone watched the Bears game today, you saw what you should see from a competent HC, things all come together, game 3 is where things should start to get, kudos, this team is as lost as it's always been.
Agreed mostly on the point but meh. The Bears have been a dumpster fire so far this year. Not sure why “game 3” is the marker that you’re using.
You think about it, it’s kinda crazy, it feels like the Jets are the worst team ever but it also took field goals in the final seconds to beat us 2 of the 3 games we were winning
Whenever the most crucial game of the year happens needing the Jets to lose and get the #1 overall pick, they will absolutely win that game...
So you are telling me there is a chance... 0-4 no chance. We lose next Monday, this will be the primary source of Jets updates: https://www.tankathon.com/nfl If you want to start at 0-3 though, we do hold #1 pick at the moment due to tie breaker...
