A good showing by our offense first week makes me look forward to this game. I know Bills will carve our defense out and we will lose. Still, if we see a repeat performance from our offense, I will be happy. This is a throwaway year folks. Forgive me for having a low bar.
Josh Allen is watching game film on Brandon Stephens and the Jets Safeties right now and just licking his lips. If Fields can't put up 35+ in this game we got no shot in this game. Lets hope this offensive coordinator is really a genious and keeps us in this game and we don't implode in the 4th quarter again.
I vote Jets to win. Tailgate may include fresh tuna if we get out Saturday. Otherwise BBQ Baby Back Pork Ribs. Weather should be good.
The games between the two teams up until the Saleh/Hackett Tragedy were competitive. I was surprised last week when the Jet O showed up and put on a great show even in defeat. This week, I'm expecting Wilks' defense to show up and support the offense as they were the weak link last Sunday. I'm not expecting a win but will be very happy with another competitive game win or lose. Unlike some, I can find positives in losses IF you know what to look for. The Schedule didn't do AG or his staff any favors and honestly, I think it was done purposely as the league holds the Jets in very low regard anyway. 3 playoff teams for a 5-12 roster to start the year is an obvious attempt to bury this team early. Our 1st break comes in week 4 against the Dolphins.
Everyone is focused on the Bills passing attack vs. the Jets secondary, but it is also the Jets running attack vs the Bills' run defense. This could be one of those games where the Jets win time of possession, but Buffalo's ability to score quickly will be problematic.
The Jets being terrible has killed our tailgating spirit. We used to do steak and egg breakfasts, now we throw some hot dogs on and heat up some fried chicken. I have to leave the game around 3:30 to get back to CT, I'm hoping that it pains me to leave rather than me being thrilled I'm leaving. I fear the latter.
When looking at our schedule, I was thinking the Pitt game was the one we needed to win as our early schedule is tough. Well that didn’t work out. I have a hard time seeing us win this game…we may play well, but we are not in the Bills’ league yet and Allen will show that. I think we are looking at 0-2
I really am pleased with the progress. The needle is definitely trending in the right direction. However, having said that, the Jets simply aren't in Buffalo's class no matter how much we'd like to fantasize about it. Realistically, they lose by 10 or more. I'll be extremely happy if it's not an embarrassment blowout and probably will pass out if they actually pull out the win. Let me say this. If the Jets can somehow pull out a win this Sunday.........the entire season's trajectory changes.
