They did recover from it. They retook the lead 32-31.

Coach Glenn wants to talk about changing the 'culture' here they have to win these games the only thing being cemented here losing games like this is a losing culture. Losing that's it.

Culture talk without the Ws is mumbo jumbo.

Going into last season many were picking the Jets to go to the Super Bowl now I'm supposed to be giddy because we hung in there with the Steelers? Kinda like a expansion team. Gimme a break.

The Jets had the Steelers had 'em on the ropes let 'em off the hook. OMG that would've been a such a great win to get.

Another tough opponent at home this week against Buffalo we'll see how they bounce back.

    We need Ws.

We won 5 games last year, we're not going to the playoffs this year. We dont NEED W's, This is a game we were not supposed to win so its not a big deal. Did I want this win badly YES. Did it kill me at the time that 60yd FG was good, YES. After getting over the loss I now look at it as a step in the right direction.

    As Chris Berman says

That's why they play the games.

It doesn't matter what any of us think. I had low expectations going to the game I was pleasantly surprised by how well the Jets played. The game was there to be won they didn't win and it hurts.

You say the Jets are not going to the playoffs this season you don't know that I don't know that. That's why they're playing the season.

The Jets won 5 games last year because the owner sabotaged the season by firing the HC after week 5 then the GM mid season not because they had 5 wins talent. Many were picking them to go to a Super Bowl. They just signed two of their young players to monster extensions.

    We need Ws.

    Agree we need W’s

All this culture talk…discipline, accountability, etc. etc., is nothing until we get wins. Until that time, it is just another talk track

I half expected Gipson to be cut today after that costly fumble…don’t think that happened, but if AG is going to talk about accountability, then Gipson needs to be inactive next week.

Not sure if the ice under Gipson could possibly be thinner...He MIGHT get one last shot, but his next fck up will certainly be his last. If not, Glenn loses a lot of credibility. Something of huge value with a skeptical Fanbase not really buying into his regime at this time.

If it were me, I’d inactivate him and elevate Pritchett and see what happens, or give Arian Smith another shot back there…Gipson cost us a game. With a fumble. Can’t happen.

I know AG is a Parcells disciple. I loved Parcells…and if you fumble the ball for Parcells, you’re in the dog house for a couple of weeks…a star maybe can get away with a fumble…I’m not benching Hall for one fumble. But a fringe player? When that’s pretty much all you do? GTFO

Agreed man. I like the idea of making Gipson inactive if for no other reason but to get thru to him that his fumbling won't be tolerated and there's consequences to be had. I also like the idea of getting Smith out there on KR too. Let the kid get his uniform dirty so he won't have those deer in the headlights moments if his number gets called in a critical situation. He can't contribute from the bench.

Btw, Gipson had two fumbles, not 1. On a replay of the the kick return where he tried to stiff arm a guy who was not there and lost balance because of it he was untouched. He then threw out the ball a la Corley, but the Jets jumped on it 1st. Had it been recovered by the Pitt players, who also went for it, it would have been challenged and Pitt would get the ball.

Also I rewatched the penalty on Simpson, and this was bullshit. The dive their player took was worse then a soccer player. He then got up laughing that he "got" Simpson. This was just a terrible call against us.

Tellya what.. I loved that Simpson went straight at the Steelers for hitting JF late. I'm pretty sure AG wasn't too pissed about the penalty as it showed the team has started to bond. That doesn't happen last year.

Bingo. If they want to build off this moral victory then they go beat the Bills next week. They are capable of doing it if they play their best game. Go beat the Bills.

A superior head coach would approach the game with that mindset. If Glenn is different than Saleh and Gase they bounce back next week and bully the bullies and beat Buffalo.

The Bills defense was a mess last night. Run it down their throats. Control the clock. Keep Allen off the field. No mistakes or turnovers. If you do that the Jets have a great shot at winning next week.

    We need W's

Our defense was weak, too many points.
We had the game in our palms.

Still I like Glenn but where the fuck was the defense?

Yeah, these performances plus Fields and some others deserved a W. It really hurts to lose that one. Btw, looks like PFF was not impressed with Rodgers either. They must have factored in what we all saw but was not on the box score: these two awful INT worthy throws and easy TDs where we had broken coverage and a TD run that was technically a pass.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Bills and Ravens struggled this week.

Games like that can take a lot out of teams.

Very surprised by Fields and the O. Much better than I expected.

Couple weeks?? I can remember guys going "in" to that Dog House and NEVER coming out. A couple weeks would have been a definite step up! lol

    succinct and good post,

gipson fumble is a "loser" play,
GW not catching the ball is a "loser" play.,

big plays where you fuck up to lose games is losing culture.
also...going for 2 twice. "loser" coach moves imo

    show me
