In Fairness, if there is one thing the New York Jets can do well, it is defy the basic rules of logic.
I honestly expected a win and with a little more discipline, we do. So, we are one game in. Can't say either way how things will turn out yet, but, if I try to take the bias out of it. Things looked promising in a lot of meaningful ways, I don't anticipate the trend going downward from here. We shall see. I'm very curious how they show up next week.
My biggest takeaway from today is that Aaron Glenn is establishing a culture where we’re not going to be fucking pushed around. I love that. I’m furious we lost. The team is definitely furious we lost. We live, we learn, we move on.
It was a brutal loss to start the season. Winners win. Losers lose. Coach Glenn wants to change the 'culture' around here he has to win or he'll be fired like many of the HC of the NYJ who came before him. These losses add up.
I think the point you may be avoiding, is that it's ONE game. That showed promise. Think we can give em a chance before we declare "all these losses" will even exist? Just saying.
Sorry but what a terrible post. You said you believe the offense over performed and the defense is terrible (I.e. didn’t under perform) and that future results will reflect this. A reply questioned what you were basing these assumptions on—a reasonable ask IMO—and your response swerved that question, said some dumb irrelevant shit instead, and mocked the responder for good measure. Nice one.
Let’s see if Aaron Glenn is all talk like saleh or sticks to his word “The one thing to me that turned this game is man we can’t have turnovers, can’t do it. That is something that will be addressed because you will not be on the field with this team if you’re going to cause us to lose games, if you’re going to cause issues like that, so we will get that addressed."
I just watched AG’s presser. Today’s game was blacked out in Ct, so I was unable to watch. After listening to his presser I was impressed. None of the , we practiced well, but have to do better. Glenn said issues will be addressed, and people won’t be on the field if they’re not. I really think Gipson is gone. He mentioned the 14 point swing. In regards to questions about the defense, his answer was simple and true, if you score 32 points, you’re not supposed to lose. He praised the offense and said each opponent will dictate what they do. I expect this team will only progress. Those who question the CS after one game, give it a little time guys. Glenn doesn’t deflect he comes right at it.
I disagree. He asked about the logic of my argument and I answered that question. By all means, feel free to be his knight in shining armor and argue on his behalf that what he really meant to question was the reasoning to my position, not the logic of it, but my answer was certainly appropriate for the question actually asked.
Oh wait. This morning they were a great team, solid defense and with AR a dangerous O, with a winning top HC and a consistent winning record. A team that was going to destroy the Jets. Now they are a mediocre team. Good God the Jets fans irony.
Brilliant correlation of two completely different situations. So far the two rookies drafted say otherwise especially with first outing under tough conditions.
Guess I shouldn't be surprised by the negativity here... Really sucks to lose but I had a good time watching the Jets today. I've had whole seasons I couldn't say that
Why should the jets ever win another game this year, when “we almost” won is just as good on this board. We even “almost made the playoffs” 2 years ago if almost wins that year counted in win loss. When we are drafting top 10 this year again we can give Aaron glenn his participation trophy and count our “almost wins”, we haven’t made the playoffs in so long what’s another 6 years? By than we will know if Aaron Glenn is a good coach or not for sure.
I would have said they were an average to slightly above average team. Games like this are a must win if the Jets have any hope of making the playoffs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No, no. Your exact quote was, "Oh wait. This morning they were a great team..." Who said that? Now your saying mediocre. Which is it? That's right. Nobody, literally nobody said they were "a great team".
True. And we had every chance to do so. There are no moral victories, agree with AG, but this team fight and grit is night and day from where we were last year. One freaking extra point and a crucial fumble away from killing it. Next week is even a higher challenge against a premier team. But this team is showing me something I have not seen before. Not intimidated by anyone. Wins will come.
