Loni Anderson, the blonde bombshell (but highly intelligent) receptionist on WKRP in Cincinnati, has passed away at the age of 79, following a prolonged illness. She was nominated twice for an Emmy, and three times for a Golden Globe, for the role. She was married four times, including a tumultuous marriage to Burt Reynolds. And of course she was one-half of the eternal "Bailey versus Jennifer" debate, the late 1970s / early 1980s version of the "Mary Ann versus Ginger" debate of the 1960s.

    RIP.

Demands a deeper look into the Celebrity Rule of Three and a wide berth for any famous bleach blonds with big guns.

Thoughts and prayers, friends ….. thoughts and prayers….

I was 100% a Bailey, btw. Chicks in glasses, and so forth.

I have literally never personally met anyone who wasn't a Bailey, and virtually never met anyone who wasn't a Mary Ann. They were the "great debates" that were never really debates.

In fact, the only bombshell that I ever thought was particularly special was the icon herself - Marilyn Monroe. She was incredibly beautiful, while also being a very underrated actress. Her vulnerability onscreen made her tremendously appealing, but unfortunately it was there in real life as well.

    Hah. So true.

Remember the Gilligan’s Island episode where Ginger decided she was going to be domestic, and cooked a fish pie that made everyone lose their appetite?

….. I never wanted her more.
