You know what Fields's gap is? Only 2 seconds in decision making. What a difference 2 seconds make right? :)

Right…can’t overreact to the first day of training camp, so yeah…but Fields has been this for three years now … I hope he improves, but by year 4, my gut says a player is what he is at this point. I’m hoping for the best with him, but I wouldn’t bet my house on it

Anyone going to Jets/Giants open practice on 8/12?

Processing speed is usually one of those things that you either have or you don't.

It just doesn't seem like Fields has it unfortunately.

Oh, there's plenty to talk about, but I've learned over time that it doesn't mean much. As fans, we don't learn much about players from training camp and pre-season.

I grew up near Hofstra and would go over there to watch practice about once/season. It was definitely exciting and if I lived near Florham Park, I would consider doing that now. On the other hand, I wouldn't pay to watch training camp or practice. Even though watching practice or training camp is exciting, training camp doesn't tell you how the team will play against other teams.

I'm at the point where I don't feel like spending much time following training camp and/or pre-season, but I understand why other fans want to. It's fun and exciting. It's entertaining. I hope you all really enjoy this training camp and pre-season!

Thanks chief. Sending son and his friends to July 26th Saturday practice and taking wife and other son to August 2nd practice. We live in Madison so it is only 2 miles drive from my home to Jets facility. Can't wait. :)

Meantime, where in Florida are you? Sometimes for work I will travel to Tampa region. I will ping you if you live close by.

I wish it were still at Hofstra.

I'm not traveling all the way out there just to watch practice.

How does 2 seconds compare to other NFL QBs?

Looks like went 5 for 8, including a 50 yard TD. Sure, we want superstar performance, which it wasn't, but if he can maintain similar pace and add elite mobility element, we will have a really good QB this season. Still very early though, 1st TC practice.

Fields will never be a 70% completion type so that’s no surprise to me. I like a QB who looks for big chunk plays, instead of this dink and dunk crap

IF they can get him to play at Jalen Hurts level, that would be amazing.
