Somewhat related but my son and his band opened for Connie Han last summer and this year they opened for Keiko Matsui.

Atlanta police concluded that ex-Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds was at fault for the fatal motorcycle crash that killed him on August 20, 2025. Investigators determined that Hinds was speeding between 63 and 68 mph, which was nearly double the posted speed limit, when his motorcycle collided with a BMW SUV at an intersection in Atlanta. While the BMW SUV driver was found to have a "failure to yield," the speed at which Hinds was traveling was a key factor in the determination of fault.
Here are the key details from the police report:
    • Cause of Death: Hinds died from his injuries after the crash.
    • Collision: Hinds' Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with a BMW SUV at the intersection of Boulevard SE and Memorial Drive SE.
    • Speed: Police found Hinds was traveling at an estimated speed of 63 to 68 mph.
    • Contributing Factors: While the BMW driver's failure to yield was noted, the investigation determined Hinds' excessive speed was the primary cause of the accident.
    • Evidence: Investigators used traffic camera footage and witness accounts to determine Hinds' speed and role in the crash.
