not a fan for this team. He plays out of the slot primarily, we need an outside receiver. Tre Harris would be the better option but looking at this board I potentially like other positions all together
Agreed on Burden, plus rumor is he’s a real asshole personality. It just sucks we so badly need offensive weapons and this draft is really bare in that category.
Football aside... Burden moped and pouted when shit went south last year. Considering we're probably going to stink, I definitely don't want that on our sidelines and that alone makes me think he's not an Aaron Glenn type guy. Higgins is my top option far and away. I'd take him over Burden even if he's on the board.
Wasn't even the first TE taken but yeah, let's all have a hissy fit that the Jets ddin't blow next years draft capitol on a TE trade. You know, next year when it is all about the QB's... again. Who needs a #1 pick and the rest eh
there is absolutely no way i would be happy that the jets traded up 20 picks into the mid first round, giving away multiple picks (what would it cost? i dont have the link to the calculator) to draft a tight end. no thanks on that. tight ends dont need to be stars, they need to be consistent, block well and make short to medium catches. and there are quite a few of them in this draft that will go round 2 and 3.
We have a bunch of holes. A trade that far up would require a 2026 first and maybe a 2025 third and 2026 third
What question did you actually ask btw? I still can't see one. But how did you know if I meant you there was other posts tbf
JJ was picked at 26, not 14- apples and oranges. With the pick of Taylor in 2nd it is clear the Jets FO knew what that were doing. I much prefer getting an OT and TE without losing draft capital. I think Warren is fools gold, Bowers has clouded people’s perspective on drafting a TE in top half of first round, while I think he will be a decent TE, lightning like that is not striking 2 years in a row. Jets pick CB in third and then there is a run on CBs with 7 more being taken in the round. That tells a lot about how they are managing the board.
My only question is why anyone would entertain this troll of a question? Trade from 42 to 14 for a TE? WTF are we even taking about.
You're a clown. You're not worth the time or effort. Buttt...... since I'm bored. Let's go back to your original sentiment. Move up from 42 to 15 to take a TE. How much draft capitol do you think that will that cost? Serious question.
