2025 NFL Draft - Rounds 2-7 (No Spoilers)

Mason Taylor good pick.
He will grow into a 2 way player at TE who can play inline.

 

At least he's not the TE from Miami; that guy is gonna be out of the league in three years. I can't complain because we need a TE, but I think this is a deep TE draft, too. There would have been quality TE's available in the 5th and 6th round. If it was available as an option, I wish we had traded back.

 

Hard to believe that anyone thought the Jets were interested in Sanders. Do they really have to show his Pop after every pick?

 

The last regime. They would have without a doubt picked sanders , probably at 7 …. Even after signing fields

 

happy with the taylor pick. glad the Jets took a calculated risk on TE and prioritized OT in the first. Let's hope both these guys are long-term starters.

 

Is it just me or does it seem like our front office actually has a plan.

 

Not hard to be better than any of our tight ends ..... since um ...

 

I preferred the combination of Warren/Ersery, which we could have done. But Membou/Taylor is solid.

Would've rather had Will Johnson but I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about this kid. Position of need for sure

So far so good. Is almost like it was scripted. Now DL, WR and S. Taylor might turn out our number two receiver rooming in the middle of the field.

 

Pretty uninspired by Taylor this early. I like him deeper in the draft but he’s a meh athlete. Good hands, looks like a willing blocker without a lot of experience doing it due to the nature of the offenses he’s played in.

He’s got the body, frame and hands to be a good 2-way tightend though so hoping I eat my words on it. In line tightend blocking is a lost trade these days. It’s super important and you don’t get that with these Kyle Pitts type H-backs.

I don't think he is better than Ruckert or Conklin. So... idk

 

Looks like this FO/CS has a well thought out plan and is sticking to the script.

You mean beyond the fact we were in desperate need of TE and WR and he was arguably the third best receiving option.

 

That’s kind of where I’m at sans Ruckert. Feels like you can find a guy with Taylor’s type of ability (upside included) with mercenary free agent tight ends. The Jets have done a dreadful job doing so but that doesn’t mean they’re not out there.
