They sure did steal this one! But I think there is no chance the Jets are moving down 8 spots for Kyle Pitts on the last year of his rookie deal.
What IS that? You'd think every single team would be on the lookout for the next Winslow, Kelce, Gates...GRONK!! How is a position group thoroughly ignored by so many? And the Jets, of course the Jets, have to take ineptitude, at this specific position, to the next level of uselessness. Crazy.
Picking Anthony Becht over Warren Sapp will forever be one of the dumbest things the Jets have done and they've done a lot of dumb things.
It does sound like something the Jets would do, in that it would be a prototypical SOJ move to make, especially when you consider there very well may be a quality TE on the board at that pick and the fact that Pitts has been a bust so far in his career. It doesn't really matter what they do at the various pass catcher positions, though, when you consider that the QB isn't going to be able to get them the ball in the first place.
Thaaaaaaaanks!!! I had ALMOST relegated that incident to the place of "stupid that shall not be named."
It was Kyle Brady, not Becht. It's never mentioned, but they could have taken Flacco instead of Vernon Gholston and avoided the whole Farve fiasco.
