Far cry from last year where we had the hype train.

The New York Jets right now have the 27th-ranked odds in the league to win the Super Bowl at +16000.

The Jets odds to win the AFC Championship are +6000.

They're being rather generous with those odds.

The low expectations will actually make it a little easier on Aaron Glenn and this new Jets roster with Justin Fields at QB. They will surprise people and be better than oddsmakers think.

Basically the 2025 Jets will be the opposite of the 2024 Jets in many ways.

Historically the Jets usually have good seasons when not expected to… and when they are supposed to be good they tank.

0.6% is probably more in line with their chances of making the playoffs. The actual chance of winning the Super Bowl is the usual 0% with this franchise.

I follow 3 sports teams - the Jets, England (soccer) and Newcastle United (soccer) - despite my being comfortably middle-aged none of them had ever won anything during my lifetime and I was beginning to feel cursed from a sports perspective - especially with Newcastle who had been to 5 cup finals during my lifetime and lost all of them (their last domestic trophy was 70 years ago!) - however that finally changed yesterday when they won the league cup (2-1 over Liverpool) - so miracles can happen and at least one of the teams I support has managed to win something before I die.

I don't see the Jets winning anything in the near future but anything can happen!
