I feel like starters on the O-Line at LT (Olu), LG (Simpson), C (Tippman) & RG (AVT) are pretty much locked in for 2025 season. But w/new management – you never know as they typically choose to have their own guys – not the previous regime’s players.

Both AVT & Simpson are not under contract past 2025 – it’s possible they are out of here after the season – so that is also something to consider.

I don’t see Max Mitchell as RT starter. If he was any good, - he would’ve been in there already. Granted the old CS bears some blame w/this - I don’t think they had the first clue on how to develop any O players. Partly same thinking on Carter Warren. I know Damien Woody is a big fan & says NYJ needs to get this guy on the field, - but like Mitchell, it seems Warren can’t even make it out of practices healthy – much less play games during season. And you can forget about counting on Chukwuma Okorafor to start at RT. I would love to be 100% wrong about it, but this guy was benched after 12 snaps in week 1 for the Patriots – who arguable fielded the worst O-line in football last season. And before week 2, - NE placed him on the exempt/left squad list to NOT play for NE the rest of the season, which means something real bad happened w/this dude. So other than 12 snaps, = the guy didn’t even play last year.

Insofar as the draft – do we want to spend 7 on O-Line? I say yes if Mason Graham is gone. My preference there is either Will Campbell (LSU) or Armand Membou (Missouri) who I’ve lately been leaning hard to. But if Mason Graham is there at 7 for the taking, - can we find RT at 42 in either Josh Simmons (Ohio St.) or this Aireontae Ersey (Minn.)? I’m not confident going past that. So I think I’d prefer spending 7 on O-Line to give some extra time to new QB Justin Fields & improve the running game which is where our main focus on 2025 O should be. IMO – it gives us the best chance for success in the division.

New regime might also see some of these guys being better at other positions, like AVT at RT &/or Tippman at RG.

I think if they were willing to move Tippman they would’ve made a strong move for Dalman in FA. AVT is not built for OT, it’s time to leave him alone and see if he can still play G at a high level. The draft has 10-12 legit day one starters at tackle, especially right tackle.

We watched a Jets playoff roster sink because of a bad right tackle in 2011 and 2012. We’ve had a gaping hole at the position since Woody retired.

Not sure why this board is so obsessed with positional value sometimes. If there’s a potentially dominant right tackle on the board at our spot, take him.

I don’t think the Lions or Eagles regret taking Penei Sewell or Lane Johnson in the top ten.

Excellent examples there with Sewell & Johnson. And I'm convinced that either of those 2 could step in at LT if needed.

Justin Fields won't have a good year at all if he ends up w/a Wayne Hunter playing RT.
