RIP. Great actor. Anyone who owns a home should have CO detectors in the house.

Two dogs survived though? Something’s up with this one.

Police saying the deaths are suspicious enough to warrant a thorough search and investigation
    Either way RIP big Gene
Just watched the quick and the dead
    Not his best film
But he played a damn good role in it

This is the oddest story. So the German Shepherd was in a kennel/crate in the bathroom closet, so it's gotta be death from dehydration. When the cops investigated the scene one of the other two dogs was in the bathroom with Gene Hackman's wife, and the other one was outside.

"Both of the other two dogs appeared to be healthy." So I'm thinking they were drinking toilet water, but what were they eating? o_O
If the dogs were taking out chunks of either of them, it probably doesn't get released; although the cops at the press conference tonight said preliminary autopsies show no trauma, so I doubt it.

I think the most likely scenario was the wife dropped like a rock from cardiac arrest, Gene tried to rush to her aid, fell, couldn't get up, died.

    Anyway, RIP.

With Alz, Gene may not have known his wife was gone. As she was his primary caregiver, he was off his meds for at least a week. I'm glad it wasn't foul play. Years ago when I lived in So. AZ, we were warned about Hunta virus caught from dead mice. I suspect this is what happened to his wife. Gene was 95yo so it should come as no surprise that a week off meds at that age usually means death.

Yup , this makes the most sense. She was the lucid, caregiver of the house. That virus strikes quick and if someone does from it it’s usually very fast. He probably had no idea what was going on without her.
