The wife and I enjoyed it. I do agree it was "safe" but I think Anthony Mackie pulled it off. All this one needs is to do a little better than O.K. at the box office and you'll see a second where they get a bit more "fun."

I thoroughly yacked at the Fantastic 4 trailer. Looks like the Jetsons meets the 70's Scooby Doo! Was NOT feeling it. Superman, could be "interesting." They're definitely going back to the Chris Reeves, more comic bookey look, than this recent Henry Cavill helmed set. And a Krypton the dog sighting!!!!!

Doing okay is subjective. Captain America is on pace to lose $100 million + for Disney which compared to some of the other recent Marvel films is actually okay, but probably not enough to get a sequel.

Talking about sequels - the Village of Huntington NY has announced that some streets and parking lots will be closed one day this coming week for the filming of a Spielberg UFO movie. No other details were provided. Could this be a long-awaited sequel to ET?

They're gonna have to find a new "serum" to juice up the new CA. Wouldn't surprise me if they did exactly that. The Fantastic Four looks like another Disney hatchet job on a viable MCU product. The female Silver Surfer probably will go over as well as the female Thor. I wonder if all the main actors from the original MCU are being phased out by Disney as none seem to be appearing in any of the remakes.

Well, the round trip back to his home planet makes for a feasible timeline. I wonder if it will be a true sequel as all those kids are grown now.

Outside Tom Holland as Spiderman, all these other actors are aging out. Even Hemsworth is looking a bit "ragged" as Thor, if you can call that ragged. LOL!

Downey Jr. is the smart one. Too old to play Iron Man but not so much to be Doom. The rest are starting to get too old. I'm not sure how much more than can milk some of these. I think if you find the right director, the Eternals had possibilities. The right director would straighten that one out and you could go in all sorts of directions. They really need to follow that first one up. You know, I finally realized what movies I was trying to say the new Fantastic 4 looked like. It's a cross between the Jetsons with the cinematics of the Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka movie. Same look and feel. I didn't like the trailer. Whatever filter the director used, that needs to go.
