What is your opinion? This has nothing to do with religion. I'm very opinionated about it, but it's very fair in both directions.

I'm all for reproductive rights, btw.

I’m a big supporter of IVF, I’m truly amazed at what the doctors can do and sympathize with those who struggle with this and it’s exorbitant costs

Why are you even opinionated. Nothing wrong with this. A lot of couples are suffering from not having a family and in my opinion these 2 options are great for those who can afford it.

States are trying to ban it and a Right to IVF bill failed in Congress.

There are many with strong opinions against it these days

I have no problem with either option, but adoption should always be part of the conversation too.

I don't understand why this is an issue for government unless taxpayer dollars are being used to pay for it. Of course there are those who believe that everything is an issue for government to control; often those are tied to personal religious preferences which negate that argument.

Alabama and other podunk states have a problem with it because they view frozen embryos as “unborn children”

but as JV mentioned their King signed an executive order so they will probably fall in line with that now

Aha. I really live in a cave or the past 6 weeks. Since I moved to Indiana I am knee deep in work and work related travel I barely watch the news. So this is a political topic then. What do we do? I see your other post calling Alabama a podunk state which is a political statement.

    Peeps,

Can we discuss this politics free or not possible? If not possible then do we keep it open for a while for the non political human angle?

Let me know how to proceed please.

Podunk means small, unimportant, or isolated

Just ate it at the breakfast. Thanks Uncle D

Thanks. But I felt like you used it in a political sense since they are Republican states. My bad if I did it wrong. But again my question remains. Shall we let this thread open for 2 weeks or shut it down in case it will head towards political discussion?

Radioactive Subject . . . IVF and Surrogacy. So here's what I mean by opinionated and why I think it's a radioactive subject.

The flipside of all of the feel good stuff is the industry (and it is an industry) has certainly been known to prey on desperate people, it's sloppy, and has done what I consider to be highly unethical things.
