I dont think pushing back the 3-point line (again) will accomplish much.

they gotta have NBA on Christmas, sacrilege to start in January

I really think Cooper Flagg will boost some ratings for the league next year. Too many foreigners that Americans simply dont take to.

He is an exciting American player that people will come to enjoy, provided he doesnt go to some small market BS team like the Jazz or Pelicans

NBA was lost to me since Jordan retired as a Bull.

P.S. NBA has been trying to engineer another superstar, by fucking up the defense rules. The end product is something I do not want to bother watching even for highlights. I loved the Knicks of the 90's, even though they didn't win the championship in the end. (Many teams during that era fit that bill, thanks to this dude Jordan.) Knicks in that era was a defensive powerhouse, and I always enjoyed watching how Knicks would stymie and stifle the opposing team, night in and night out.

These days - it's either lay up/dunk or 3 pointer. No offensive creativity. Screen is the name of the game. If you think this is a watchable product - I don't know what to tell you.

    Playoffs are still banging.

I think its just midlevel play occurring at the time when football is at its best.

I don't think Kawhi Leonard likes playing basketball.

The Celtics are awful to watch. To go with I think I've watched maybe 15 basketball games all year and 70 percent of them were Celtics losses.

Two years ago they were awful to watch too. Nothing but missed threes and no effort. Ahead of the curve.

I guess the NBAs decision to resolve this problem is by placing Luka in LA.

You can't make it up how blatant this is.

Luka seems like a real dickhole, so I'm sure he'll be a perfect fit with the Lakers.

Not a basketball move. Not the return, but the situation. You just don't have a player viewed like Luka is, calls one team, and then trashes him on the way out. They ruined all leverage with the best player in the trade by miles.

Honestly I think the new Mavs owners have a big part in this. If Dallas moves to Las Vegas in the next decade, that is why this trade happened.

The Adelsons have wanted to move the Mavs to Vegas ever since the Texas legislature wouldn't let them build their casino in Dallas. But the league wouldn't let them because the Mavs generate a ton of revenue in Dallas. So they just destroyed Dallas basketball and its revenue stream by trading Doncic, freeing them to move to Vegas. Of course if they did this in a vacuum, Silver would be so furious that he'd find a way to Donald Sterling them. But by trading Doncic to the Lakers, they ensured the league won't lose any net revenue, so the league will let them get away with it.

The NBA puts out a top quality product I think. Big stars, quality teams.

The problem they have is finding the damn games on tv is a pain in the ass and since there are so many games unless you're a die hard has the schedule memorized (which I'm not) it's hit or miss when the local teams or another game is on when I'm free to watch a game.

This past Saturday they had multiple games on I think the afternoon game was on tbs or tnt or usa whatever then later on when I wanted to watch Celtics-Knicks I went back to those channels no game on I checked the TV guide channel I saw the game was on channel 7.

    It's a pain.

A bit on the Knicks. Watching Celtics-Knicks reminded me of last season's Pacers-Knicks playoff series I don't see it with this Knicks team they're likeable, they play hard but a championship (which is what it's all about) I don't see it.

It looks so difficult for them to score points and the defense is lacking. Some of these other teams make it look easy . Brunson has made himself into the kind of player he is through hard work, a strong will, toughness etc. but he lacks that pure God given athletic ability that other stars possess. It looked very difficult for Towns as well on Saturday.

Why does it seem as if New York is always looking at these other stars & teams being blocked by them why are thse stars and these teams not playing here in New York? New York deserves better.

I meant at its best part of the season.
I didn't mean best football in the history of football.

I couldn't care less, but what was the Luka Doncic thing about? Did he get traded against his will or something?

not exactly against his will. He’s just one of the very best players in the league, in his prime, randomly traded for an older defender who’s always hurt.

Like if the Ravens traded Lamar Jackson for Khalil Mack or something straight up
