Now send Rodgers a message by firing his BFF Hackett and Downing next.

I was thinking about that. They could have also pushed him more to develop as a G. But God forbid we touched Carter according to Saleh.

Wonder why you select the OL before the OC. Seems strange unless the OC is selected and waiting contract sign off.

I feel that’s the case. Maybe also a signal from the new staff to players that they aren’t fucking blind and can recognize and quickly fix giant glaring motherfucking mistakes such as our former OL “coach”

That is really a dopey ass comment.

    Why would I do that?

It is also normal to put an @ in front of someone's name so they will be notified they have been referred to in someone's post. I guess expecting you to act normal is too much.

Spot on, no way Glenn hires offensive staff unless the OC is basically all but official. Given it's a Detroit guy who will coach OL, all signs point to Tanner being announced in the short order. Which probably means Caley got the TB job or maybe Glenn just wanted to go with the guy he knows. But I do expect Tanner to be announced soon.

I don't mind up and comers as long as the expectation meet the situation. If we don't make the playoffs but show improvement? I'm good. I don't want to see posts about how much this new Regime sucks because they didn't hire this old timer or that one. I swear to God that if I see one mention of this being a DEI hire? That poster will not like the result. This Regime needs time as it will take longer than one season to turn this franchise around. More likely 2-3 years for everything to settle in and start to improve.

I think he is literally trying to find the best coaches he can at every spot, then expects them to be adults and work together, in an attempt to have the best product on the field possible.

Will it work? I don't know but I'm hopeful and I personally love the approach. It seems AG is really thinking about how to construct his staff, which is a far cry from a lot of coaches we've seen prior to him. I like it.

For me not making play-offs would be a disappointment. Even 9-8 season or 10-7 but losing to key AFC teams and missing play-offs on tie breaker I would not consider success. 14 years no play-offs, to me the goal should be the play-offs. Now, that does not mean we need to fire AG if we get 9 wins but miss, but I personally would be disappointed by anything other than play-offs, because this team has talent. Even last year if we had a slightly better GM and coaching, we could have done a lot better.

I am thinking if Bob stayed, we are at 7 games just because defense would be a little better. Special teams is another couple of games. And offense could have been so much better with better coaching. So, to me if we have better coaching and a competent GM, we should be at 10 games and play-offs, which is what I expect from AG and Mooge next year.

We're on the same page. For me, it's playoffs or I'm done.

This team is not BARE by any stretch of the imagination. While not loaded, they are certainly talented enough to compete for a wild card. Realistically, Buffalo is really the only team to compete with. Miami has all kinds of QB problems. They are essentially Tua playing or not playing when it comes to winning. He's simply not durable enough to complete a whole season. As long as the Jets can get DECENT coaching they are, at the very least, a wild card.

The Jets havent won 10 games in a decade and won a whopping 5 games last season (4 really as Miami was on vacation the last week)

To expect Glenn to come in and double the win total year 1 is unrealistic

Why? I can start 10 years back and there is always one or two teams that go from really shitty to pretty damn good in one year. This team is not devoid of talent. They certainly have a lot more talent than they normally have after a coach/gm housecleaning. There's no reason what so ever that they can't compete for a wild card in 2025, IF the coaching is spot on.

We had a lead in the 4th quarter and lost 6 or 7 times this season. You don't get the 4th quarter lead if you are not talented. You set expectations way too low. This team is ready to win, and AG is the man that has to do the job. If he plays his cards right it can happen and completely realistic.
