We may have dodged a bullet by not hiring Joe Brady. Weird obsession with Ty Johnson, he’s got James Cook who was unstoppable on the sideline a lot then his strange passing game cost them too. You have Josh Allen, strongest arm in the league and you have him throwing screen passes and dump offs all season. That’s how you end up going 9-20!! On 3rd and 4th down by inching down the field
I was surprised how timid their offensive game plan was... and they should have gotten out of man coverage on a lot of those KC drives.
Another SB I have no interest in watching - cant remember the last one I bothered to watch (as its very late here so need to have some interest in the outcome)
Not sure why the Bills kept doing that sneak play. It finally burned them. It was “working” but they weren’t blowing the Chiefs off the ball like you see the Eagles do. Played with fire too much.
They deserved to lose they were just dumb Allen in the shotgun all game with James Cook all game running RPOs would be unbeatable
And on a night when he threw one of the best deep balls I've seen all year to Mack Hollins of all people. Very surprising they didn't challenge downfield more. Well, glad they didn't though
CBS' darling Nate Burleson last night "Resist the urge to fall for the narrative that we're tired of seeing [the Chiefs] win, that we might be fatigued of watching KC go to the Super Bowl... You are witnessing greatness. And just be happy that you are alive to be there to see it." comments that will really resonate with fans of a team that havent been to the playoffs in 17 years
And with that, I hope the eagles destroy them . Andy reed retires and it cools off for good. Thanks for unseating the Brady nightmare, but it’s your time to fuck off into the sunset
Generally, I don't like Kelce cause the whole him and Taylor Swift thing is annoying, but I gotta admit he was blocking like a bad ass yesterday. I've been kinda against Tyler Warren at Penn State but a big boy like that at TE might be a good idea, especially if we could trade down a bit and get him. Big framed TE for sure
Unfortunately, I don't see the Eagles destroying them. I hope the Eagles pull it out, I really like some of the guys on that Eagles team. I could see another late one score victory for the Chiefs
The Chiefs have the obvious edge in coaching and the Eagles have the obvious edge in talent. Andy Reid + Mahomes is just too good.
Remember when the Chiefs made a big statement and released Kareem Hunt for beating up his girlfriend, claiming they don't want players like that.
The NFL has done damage with the rule changes. Seeing the same teams over and over and over is 100% due to the rule changes. Historically it was uncommon for teams to return to the Super Bowl within a few seasons after losing one. Now it has become the norm. No one wants to see the say teams play. The NFL needs new blood. There are 18 teams that haven't won a Super Bowl in the last 30 years. It's hard to take the sport seriously when they have essentially destroyed any sort of defense and have shifted everything primarily to pro QB so if you have a QB you are golden but if you don't you have no chance at all. It's worse than ever. A lot of these QB will play longer to because they can't be touched. It sucks to be a fan of a team that doesn't have one which is the majority of the league.
I agree - the NFL is a totally 2-tier league - if you have a franchise QB then its worth watching/following, if you don't then it is largely pointless and you are just treading water until you manage to land one (which in the case of the Jets seems to be never). The rule changes are such that its is pretty much ALL about the QB position.
